Hi, Raquel Mason here.
To make this card, I started off with a River Rock backing card cut at 5 x 10 & scored in the middle. I added a piece of Brocade Blue embossed with the NEW Lots of Dots embossing folder. Before adhering that to my backing card, I added a piece of Gingham Ribbon. I die cut a piece of patterned paper using the Oval Accordion Card – I nested the largest oval & the next size down to get the stitch marks and ran it through my Big Shot all in one go. I stamped the image onto Whisper White, colored with Spectrum Noir markers, fussy cut & glued him to the card using pop dots.
I used a Whisper White base to die cut the Garden Bench & another Garden Bench from Brocade Blue. To die cut the Garden Bench, all you need to do is line up the tabs on the sides of the die with the fold of your card & cut. For the Brocade Blue bench, I only wanted the arms, so I only needed to snip those parts off & glue it to the white bench. For the patterned paper behind the bench, I die cut that at the same time as cutting the Whisper White base card so it will all line up perfectly. I used Agatha Edges on the top & bottom of the pattern paper to get that wonderful curvy edge. For the top flower patterned Agatha Edge, I used the excess from the bottom that I cut off and just cut again matching the shape & then glued it to the top.
I really love the All Seasons Tree by Karen Burniston! I cut the trunk from Early Espresso Core’dinations & the foliage from Kiwi Kiss. To glue the foliage on, I like to put 2-way glue on the back side of the branches & place the foliage on top & adding more glue as needed. Just remember to add the smaller foliage first, otherwise it will be hidden when you glue the larger foliage on. I used Fire Opal Gemstone Shimmer Sheetz & the flower die included in the Garden Bench to cut lots of flowers. To cut Shimmer Sheetz with ease, use the Metal Adapter Plate. The cutting goes pretty quickly as you can cut 3 flowers at a time. I hope you can see just how gorgeous these are – they are truly stunning! The tree holds my little owl that I stamped, colored & fussy cut. The sentiment was stamped, cut out & adhered with pop dots. I used the grass die from Garden Bench to make 2 little patches of grass in front of the bench – I cut them a little bit smaller….just a little pruning.
