Hello everyone, it’s Annette Green here from the Susan’s Garden Club Design Team with a special gift for a young lady who’s expecting her first baby this summer. It’s a baby’s keepsake box to hold little treasures, including a mini album that I’m currently creating. As you can probably tell, she’s expecting a girl, so a pink color palette was in order, and I found the Cherry Blossom die to be a perfect embellishment. I’ll share how easy it was to create this gift.

1. Since the color theme for my friend’s baby’s room is pink, tan and gold I started by painting the exposed edges of the box with Tarnished Brass Distress Paint, but any gold acrylic paint will do. My box measures approximately 5″ x 7″.

3. Embellish the top of the box as desired, leaving space in the upper left corner for the Cherry Blossoms.

The branch has been cut from Elizabeth Craft Designs new Soft Finish Cardstock in Rust, and the flowers are created with pale pink cardstock and colored with PanPastel as directed by Susan in her video. The tips of the stamens have been colored with a Copic marker.

What a beautiful box and a treasured gift. The daughter of a friend is having her first child and I definitely will make one for her. Thanks for the wonderful creation and for the detailed tutorial.

WOW, this is beautiful and would be great for my new baby granddaughter. I can even make one for my grandson, her brother just adjusting the paper. Very nice idea, thank you.
