Hi friends, it’s Caz here for another Pop it up Wednesday, and today’s project is something a little different for me, but something I really enjoyed creating.
I recently made a canvas for this month’s Pop it Ups Designer Challenge and I thought it would be nice to share another one with you so you may be inspired to create your own.
Take a canvas and swipe water colour crayons onto the canvas to create a pleasing backgroun. Wet by spraying water onto it and using fingers to blend (the fun way) or use a baby wipe to blend (clean way).
Take Karen Burniston’s Swirly Flourish stencil and using a large dauber sponge through a mid green ink.
Taking the Flower stencil and dark brown ink sponge through the centre of the canvas.
Using palette knife add texture with some shimmer mousse and take off excess with palette knife. I did this on all 4 corners and also wiped with my finger around the edge to just “grunge it up” a bit.
Die cut Fitted Frames 5 and colour with ink pads – I ended up using most of the parts of this die set and coloured all but one with a lovely blue.
Stamp Cheeky Monkey stamps onto die cut circle with black ink and swipe around edge with blue ink.
Die cut Jinks the Monkey and assemble.
And then you just assemble it all together. Here are a few closer shots,
I really hope that you have enjoyed this canvas. It was great fun to get my fingers dirty and make something like this. Also great to make something that I will keep for myself and I will hang this on my wall and it will make me smile each time I look at it. It also shows you how versatile Elizabeth Craft Designs dies are, they really are for anything you want to create and not just cards. I challenge you to look at your Karen Burniston Pop it Ups dies and have a play to see what unique home decor items you can make.
Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Darling canvas, Caz. Love the background and the frames. It makes me think I need to look at my pop up dies more carefully to see what I can do with them. Thank you.
This is really cute Caz. Canvas was on sale at Michael’s and I thought about getting one but didn’t. Now, you have made me regret that!
Thanks for showing another super fun use of Pop it Ups dies!
Love your canvas, thanks for sharing with us. Always fun to see our die collection used in a different way.
