Pop It Ups Wednesday with Fran – Such a Character

May 18, 2016

Hi everyone!  It’s Fran from Karen Burniston’s Design Team here to share with you a card using Lucky the Rabbit!

PIU Lucky the Rabbit 01

This fun card is a flat card (!) with Lucky the Rabbit on an action wobble.  It’s a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2″ card using Karen’s new Stage It Stencil – Flowers.

PIU Step 1 PIU Step 2

Start with a piece of patterned paper and stencil over the top with a mix of stencil paste and ink.  Let dry (this is the hardest part of this card!)  One it dries, trim it to 3 7/8 x 5 1/8 and layer onto a 4 x 5 1/4″ piece of black card stock.  Mount this onto a 5 1/22 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4 card base.  Cut a piece of white 1″ x 3 7/8 and mount onto a piece of black 1 1/8 x 3 7/8.  Stamp the greeting from Lucky Birthday onto the right hand side and adhere it to the card front.  Adhere a pink circle to the left hand side and trim off the overhang.

Die cut and assemble Lucky the Rabbit in your choice of colors.  Die cut the basket from Props 7, assemble and then flip over.  Using any small circle or scallop circle die or punch, adhere a green piece to the back of the basket.  Add your flowers (mine have pearl centers) . Stamp some balloon and adhere them to Lucky so that they just barely touch his ear.  Attach them to his hand with Baker’s twine.  Place Lucky on an action wobble according to the manufacturer directions and adhere to the card.  Place the basket of flowers next to him.

Stamp the inside of your card and add some flower.  I used a white gel pen on the center of the inside flowers.

Have fun with your new card!  Hugs, Fran

What a clever surprise with the wobbler…had to read ‘how to do’ before I got surprise! Fun…and could use same sentiment on front…but inside “Hoppy Easter”. Many uses!

I like making the background with a stencil, especially always looking for cutwe rain drops.
