Hi Friends, its Caz here again. Wow, these months seem to fly by and I cannot believe that I am back again already 🙂
This time of year means that I am spending a lot of time in the garden trying to get it ship shape and tidy. It’s lovely in the summer to spend time outside and I wanted to make something for my garden so I set about about making this tealight decoration to use around my parasol on the table.
Here is what I used and how I made it :
Step 1:
First up I took the Fancy Frame accordion and cut it 4 times in acetate and 4 times in Bluebell Soft Finish cardstock.
On the blue ones I cut out out the centers and also the fold edge too. On the Acetate ones I left them whole.
Step 2:
Next I used a spotty embossing folder and embossed the blue frames, I used white ink to highlight the dots. Alternatively I could have sanded the dots down since the soft finish has a white core.
Step 3:
Stick the blue frames onto the acetate and join together – NOTE to be able to put this around the umbrella pole you will need to be able to stick it and unstick it to be able to remove it and protect it against the elements.
Step 4:
I have used some Shimmer Sheetz and the Butterfly from the Butterfly Pivot die. I cut 2 in blue and 2 in purple.
Step 5:
I added extra decoration by adding a heart and smaller butterfly using shimmer sheets and Ribbons and Jewels in silver glitter paper.
I hope you are inspired to make something for your outdoor area.
Remember this has been made for battery operated tea lights.

Cute, cute! Awesome idea!
Great Ideas Christine for closing the side.
This is just such a gorgeous idea/project and would even be a fantastic gift to give out! As to leaving one side unstuck to be able to remove it for safe keeping, a couple of ideas came to mind, using ribbon to tie it together, velcro strips and magnet strips would all work. Thanks for this gorgeous bit of inspiration!!
I have to try this! I have an umbrella table too. Thanks so much for this cute idea.
Great idea Caz! It will be very relaxing sitting outside with such a pretty tealight holder.
This is a great idea-and definitely worth trying once our English summer eventually arrives!
