Hello everyone,
It’s Joset here today. Sunday is Father’s Day and because of that I wanted to share a fun Father’s Day project. My daughter is too young to create a scrapbook page for her dad so I created one for her. For this page I used a combination of die sets from the Els van de Burgt Studio Collection to cut mats and frames for the photos and title block. They are so fun and easy to use and you can coordinate, mix, match and layer them if you have several of the same shape. I used Dotted Scallop Rectangles, Fitted Rectangles and Fitted Frames 1 Lace Rectangles. I chose a bright and happy color scheme and added Corners and Bees to tie things together.
The sets also come in circles, ovals and squares so you can choose a different shape or even combine more than one shape!
This is such a simple kind of scrapbook page that I don’t think elaborate instructions are needed. Simply refer to the project photo and make your own version, using these steps:
1. Pick your favorite photos (at least 3, more if you want to overlap them)
2. Choose coordinating papers (patterned and solid colors)
3. Die cut mats and frames to fit the photos (or crop photos to fit the frames – either method works)
4. Arrange and rearrange the photos until you’re happy with the layout (leave space for a title block)
5. Add a framed title (letters were die cut with Alphabet 2 Lower Case)
6. Embellish your page with die cut bees, flowers, butterflies or whatever you like
7. Hug your dad if you’re lucky enough to live near him.
Happy Scrapping!
Joset
