Hello my crafty friends! It’s Raquel Mason here today. Halloween is my favorite holiday! The idea to make ghost earrings using Halloween Charms woke me up from my slumber one morning. So I did exactly that, and another pair using Holiday Charms. Let me show you how easy it is to make a pair for yourself!
Die cut the pieces shown below:
Ghost – die cut (1) ghost in White Iris Shimmer Sheetz and you will get the 3 pieces shown. Insert the ghost on the far left into the ghost on the far right, then insert the middle ghost. To die cut Shimmer Sheetz, you will need a Metal Adapter Plate. Review Els’s video tutorial if you are new to this technique.
Candy Cane – Adhere Clear Double Sided Adhesive to White Iris and Red Metallic Shimmer Sheetz. Die cut (2) shadow layers in White Iris Shimmer Sheetz and (2) detail layers in Red Metallic Shimmer Sheetz. Tip: For a mirror-image pair cut one detail layer in the opposite direction, giving you one candy cane for the left ear and one for the right ear. Or, make them the same as shown in the photo. Remove the backing from the Clear Double Sided Adhesive and adhere the detail layer to the white silhouette layer.
Insert the ring at the top of the charm onto a fish hook earring finding and you’re done!
I hope you have enjoyed my tutorial and feel inspired to make a pair of “Charmed” earrings for yourself.
Happy Crafting,
Raquel
