Celebrate Christmas tag

December 23, 2016

Hello everyone, Sanna here today with one last Christmas project for this season. I created a blue-red-white colored gift tag that will hopefully make its recipient happy. This background is so much fun to make!

Here is what I did:

Take the “Winter Sentiments” clear stamp set and using a waterproof ink repeatedly stamp the word “joy” onto the background.

Now take a light and darker blue and a red marker and start coloring the words by starting with the red, then going over to the lighter blue and finishing the third word with the darker blue tone. Repeat in this order until all the words are colored. This creates a pleasing pattern for the eye.

Next die cut the word “Celebrate” from a piece of ivory toned cardstock. Using black ink, stamp  another sentiment from the “Winter Sentiments” clear stamp set – just the word ‘Christmas’; fussy cut it and color the piece with the red marker.

Then cut a piece of blue felt and adhere the die cut and stamped words onto that piece. Attach the felt onto the tag with a stapler. Fussy cut a deer image and adhere onto the tag with paper glue. Attach a ribbon on top and embellish with wooden stars which you can color red with the marker. Add a touch of glitter glue on top for additional sparkle.

Wishing you all a wonderful Holiday Season with your family and friends!!! Hear you again in 2017!!
Happy creating,
Sanna
