Fresh Begonias for a friend

Hello My dear friend

Welcome to the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog it’s Pavitra here and I am super excited to share a card with you which I created for a friend using the new released GN Tuberous Begonia from Susan’s Garden.

The new released spring collection from Susan’s Garden is really awesome and has many beautiful flowers for you. You can check out the complete collection here.

Here is how you can make this card.

Cut white cardstock 12 x 7-1/2, score at 6 and fold.Cut Soft Finished Cardstock – 6 x 7-1/2. For coloring swipe the distress ink pad – cracked pistachio , chipped sapphire and mermaid lagoon directly on the cardstock as shown in the image.
Distress the edges with distressing tool and place on top of white cardstock with Kids Choice Glue.
Cut kraft cardstock 5-3/4 x 7-1/4. Die cut a rectangle frame by placing largest Stitched Rectangles die in the center.
Cut kraft cardstock 3-1/2 x 4-3/4 .

Die cut rectangle frame using the 2nd and 4th smallest dies and emboss with Heart Strings Embossing Folder.
Ink the rectangle frames with distress ink – vintage photo.
Layer the rectangle frames on the cards base as shown with 3D foam tape.
Die cut Soft Finish Cardstock with GN Tuberous Begonia die. Color the petals and leaves with inks. Shape the flowers and leaves using Susan’s tools , Embossing Pad and Leaf Pad.
Die cut Soft Finished Cardstock with smallest Fitted Circles die, stamp the sentiment from Lucky Birthday Clear Stamp set and distress the edges with vintage photo distress ink.(Optional – cover with clear glitter).Arrange the flowers and leaves as shown .
Paste black beads ,blue bling stones and butterfly cutout as shown with Kids Choice Glue.Apply glitter on flowers

    Beautiful card. I bought this die so I could make these flowers, but there is no help or tutorials to tell you how many pieces to cot for making these flowers. Can you tell me how many die cuts of each size I would need to make a flower. Hugs from Scotland. Rita xxxx

      thank you Rita for liking my work.For making a big size flower i used 2 big petals , 2 small petals ,one bud petal and 2-3 filler petals to give it a fuller look.
      For the small size flowers i used 2 small petals and 1 bud petal .hope this will help for anything else please feel free to ask

    Absolutely gorgeous! But u had me fooled…from looks, I thought it was a shaker card… but reading instructions…I found out the beads were glued! You fooled me! Beautiful contrast with ur colors! Flowers r stunning…glitter …perfect final touch! Great work!
