Dragonfly Dreams

August 18, 2017

DT Melanie here today with a new project for you. I have always loved “things with wings” so the Elizabeth Craft Designs Dragonfly Dies really are one of my favorite products. To replicate this card simply follow the directions below.

Step 1- From a piece of Whisper Blue Soft Finish Cardstock, cut a rectangle measuring 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ , score and fold in half to create a top-fold card base.Step 2 – From a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″) die cut both the Flower Lace 1 & 2 dies on the corners of the card so they only partially die cut.  (refer to photo above)

  • Attach Flower Lace die cut pieces to  the bottom left corner and top right corner of the card base. (refer to photo at top of post for placement)

Step 3 – Die cut dragonflies from True Blue Soft Finish Cardstock and using Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink and a blending tool ink and darken the edges. (adhere on top of the lace per the project photo with the dragonflies facing as shown)

Step 4 – Using black ink, stamp a sentiment from the Dreams Sentiment Clear Stamp set at the top left corner of the card.

Step 5 – Finally, add a little flair with Silver Lines Peel-Off Stickers to the edges of the Whisper Blue Soft Finish Cardstock. Add Transparent/Silver Glitter Dots Peel Off Stickers to the dragonflies for their eyes.

This is so pretty and I love the silver edging, which sets off those dragonflies and lacy embellishment perfectly!

Awe Barb, thank you so much for commenting. I need to separate my dies into themes as well. I have sooooo many dies, but Elizabeth Crafts are my favorite!!!

Absolutely breathtaking! Love the blues, white and silver lines color combination . I agree that the dragonflies are a favorite! I even have three Die storage binders FULL of “things with wings” because I love them so much! TFS!
