Hi Friends,
Welcome back to Elizabeth Craft Designs. Today I am playing around with the new “Snowflake” dies from the winter collection. I just love how this turned out.
To create this easy project follow these step by step directions:
Step 1 – Cut a navy piece of cardstock to 5″ x 10″ and fold in half creating the card base.
Step 2 – Cut your white background piece to 4 3/4″ square.
Step 3 – Using the A Way with Stencils -Leaf Snowflake stencil sponge light and dark blue inks through the snowflake section of the stencil.
Continue apply ink all over the card until you achieve a snowflake background to your liking as shown above.
Step 4 – Use the Snowflakes die to die cut the snowflakes for the card. Die cut 2 of the largest snowflake from White Soft Finish Cardstock, glue these two together to create a thicker snowflake. This helps when inking and it gives a sturdy base for the entire design. Die cut the middle sized snowflake from navy cardstock.
Step 5 – Sponge the tips of the largest snowflake in light blue ink.
Step 6 – Using foam tape, cut in thin pieces and attach to the back of the largest snowflake. Adhere the snowflake to the card front.
Step 7 – Adhere the middle sized blue snowflake on top of the large snowflake using Kids Choice Glue. Attach a large pearl to the centre of the snowflakes.
Here is the final result. I hope this inspires you to get those dies out and play. They make the most exquisite projects.
