Father’s Day

May 30, 2018

Hi Everyone!  It’s Karen here.  I’m excited to be sharing a Father’s Day card.  Masculine cards are hard for many of us.  My card today features the super fun Circles Background stamp.  So many great ways to use the versatile background stamps from Elizabeth Craft Designs!

Here are the steps I used to make the card:

Step 1. From 100lb White Soft Finish Cardstock, cut a rectangle measuring 4-1/4″ x 11″; score at 5.5″ and fold in half to create a top-fold card base.

Step 2.  Stamp the Circles Background stamp with black permanent ink onto a 6″x 6″ piece of white cardstock. Color with Copic markers: B00, B02, B05, G40, G43, G46, G85, Y21, Y23, Y26.  Spray the finished work with Copic blending markers to mute the colors a bit.

Step 3.  Using the Dashing Rectangles dies, cut the stamped background with the 4″ x 5-1/4″ die and the 2-1/2″x 3-3/4″ die (centered inside the larger one and held in place with low-tack tape, like washi tape). Refer to photo below.

Step 4. Cut a piece of dark green cardstock at 2-3/4″ x 4″. Adhere the outside circles rectangle to the card base.  Adhere the inside circles rectangle to the green cardstock.  Using foam tape, adhere the green cardstock to the card.

Step 5.  Add Clear Double Sided Adhesive Sheet or wide Tape to the back of green cardstock.  Die cut the words Happy Father’s Day from Words 3 – Happy Holiday.  Adhere to the card front.

Step 6.  Stamp a cactus from the Cacti Clear Stamps using black permanent ink.  Die cut with coordinating dies, and color with Copic markers:  Y21, Y23, Y26, B00, B02, B05, G82, G85. Adhere the cactus to the card front using foam tape.

That’s it…Easy, cute, and perfect for any dad!  Thank you for stopping by!

Craftily yours,

Karen
