Hello Welcome! Samantha here sharing a card I created using two of my favourite Elizabeth Craft Designs dies. One of the things I love about dies is how easy and simple they are to work with. I had originally planned to colour the leaves in, but after colouring one in with Copic Markers I realised that it would take quite a decent amount of time and that I could achieve an equally striking and bright look by using some scrap left over pieces of cardstock that I have in my stash.
Card Instructions:
Step 1: Using White Soft Finish Cardstock die-cut a large rectangle from the Dashing Rectangles die set.
Step 2: Using pieces of corrugated card (or cardstock of your choice) die cut several of each leaves from the Curvy Leaves die set.
Step 3: Adhere the leaves to the card front leaving enough room for the sentiment. (Refer to photo for placement).
Step 4: Optional : Use a sewing machine to add stitched details to the card.
Step 5: Using the “Miss You” sentiment from the General Sentiments Clear Stamp set, stamp the sentiment onto the card using black ink.
Step 6: Using the Ladybug die set, die cut two ladybugs using Red Velvet sheets for the wings and Rich Black Soft Finish Cardstock for the body.
Step 7: Adhere these to card front.
Step 8: Embellish card with sequins and a twine bow.
Thank you for joining me and I hope you enjoyed my card today. I was able to create this card under 15 minutes and use up some scrap paper in the process! How simple would it be to change the sentiment up and create a ‘Thank You’ card or even a sympathy card – create a whole set of cards to add to your card stash!
Happy Crafting!
Samantha
