Circles Background Floral Card

August 6, 2018

Hi Everyone! Marilyn here with a card I made using the Circles Background stamp and Color My Flowers and Sentiments 1 stamp sets. Rather than using the Circles Background stamp as a background, I cut out some of the circles and used them to create the flowers for my card.

Below are the steps I used to create the card:

Step 1: Cut a 5.75” x 11.5” rectangle from navy cardstock, score and fold in half at 5.75” to create a 5.75″ square card base. Cut a 5 9/16” square from white cardstock for the front panel.

Step 2: Sponge Worn Lipstick and Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide onto white cardstock square.

Step 3:  Spritz with water and lightly blot with a paper towel, set aside to dry.

Step 4: Stamp the Circles Background onto White Soft Finish Cardstock using black ink. Also stamp three leaf images from the Color My Flowers Clear Stamp set.

Step 5: Using coloring medium of choice, color the circles and leaves. Refer to photo below to see which circles were colored for this particular card.  Set aside the remaining circles for another project. Add some white dots to the colored images using a white gel pen if desired. Optional: Add a bit of shine with VersaMark ink, heat set.

Step 6: Cut out the leaves and circle pieces using fine point scissors.

Step 7: Using Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink, stamp the Best Wishes sentiment toward the top right of the square panel.

Step 7: Adhere the square to the navy card base. Arrange and adhere the flowers and leaves, overlapping as shown.

Your card is finished!
Thanks for stopping by, and happy crafting!
