Fun Christmas Wishes..

September 24, 2018
Hi crafters!
It’s Sara here today and I have a new Christmas project for you. Super simple but super fun!
I love playing with die cuts and this is one of those cases where I try to do my best to use my stash in a creative way.
Sometimes you have to think of your dies in a different way.  Rather than looking at your die and seeing the actual image (santa’s face or moose)  look at the shape and size of the die cut.
In my mind these two fun characters reminded me about a circle and for this reason I decided to use them on my card to represent a letter in a word … in this case substituting the image for the letter “O” in the word JOY & NOEL.

So these are the steps:
1. Die cut a rectangle from the Dashing Rectangles die set from two matching patterned papers of your choice.
2. Die cut the character’s face  (Santa & Moose used here) in the way you prefer: I love watercolors so mine are die cut from watercolor paper and then coloured using water colors. You could also die cut them out from coloured cardstock.
3. Using the Blackboard Alphabet die set, die cut the letters that you need to form the words for each card (JOY & NOEL). There are so many words that you can use for this technique.
4. Assemble your card with Clear Double Sided Adhesive and with foam adhesive under the patterned paper and under the characters. Add the letters with Kids Choice glue.
5. That’s it!
Hope you like it!
And please let me know if you try it!
Thanks for stopping by!
