Season’s Greetings Santa

September 26, 2018

Hi there Crafters! Marilyn here to show you a Christmas card using some of the latest dies released by Joset for Elizabeth Craft Designs. Christmas will be here before we know it so I am trying to get a few cards ready in order to avoid the last-minute panic I have every year.

The following steps outline how I created the card:

Step 1: Cut a 5.75” x 11.5” rectangle from red cardstock, score and fold in half at 5.75” to create a 5.75″ square side-fold card base.

Trim a piece of patterned paper to 5 9/16” x 5 9/16” for the front panel. Die cut a circle from the Dashing Circles die set, a set of the words Seasons Greetings from red cardstock and one from green cardstock, the Santa Claus and 3 gifts from white cardstock.Step 2: Colour the Santa and gifts. Copic marker colours are listed below but any markers or coloured pencils will do. Alternatively, cut them from different pieces of coloured cardstock.
Step 3:  Apply liquid adhesive and Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter to the fur, beard, mustache, bell, buttons, gifts and bows. Allow adhesive to dry.

Step 4: Offset the red sentiments atop the green and glue together.

Step 5: Sponge Bundled Sage Distress Ink around the outer edge of the circle.

Step 6: Assemble Santa.

Step 7:  Glue the patterned paper to red base, the circle to patterned paper, arrange and glue the gifts and sentiment, glue the googlie eyes to Santa and you are finished!

Thanks for stopping by. Happy crafting and have a great week!
