Soft Finish Cardstock

A Ribbon Tree Christmas

October 23, 2018

Hello – Welcome! Samantha here, sharing some Christmas-themed inspiration today. I’m loving all things Christmas at the moment. Even my local shopping center has starting displaying Christmas baubles and trees for sale…it’s hard not to get excited about how quickly Christmas Day is approaching. With that being said, I really wanted to create a few more simple cards to add to my Christmas card stash. I went with non-traditional colours to break up how much red, green and Kraft brown I’ve been using lately!

Instructions:

Step 1: Using a Dashing Circles die or other circle die of choice, cut a large circle and stamp the sentiment in black toward the top. Adhere this to a panel for the card front (measurements: 10 cm x 14.5 cm) as shown below; trim the circle.

Step 2: Using a variety of cardstock colours and patterned papers, die cut pieces for the ribbon tree.

Step 3: Assemble the tree as shown below.
Step 4: Add machine-stitched details (optional). Die cut snowflakes from the same papers and cardstock as were used for the ribbon tree. Adhere these to the panel.

Step 5: Embellish panel with sequins, enamel dots, and a twine bow. Adhere to a C6 white side-fold card base.

I love all things Christmas – but decorating the Christmas tree always makes me feel so happy. I think it’s probably one reason why I love Christmas tree dies like this. They just look so pretty on paper!

Are you into non-traditional Christmas colours?

Happy Crafting!

Samantha
