It’s Karen here. I love everything Christmas and love sending out lots and lots of Christmas cards. Today’s post features one I made for a special friend using the Winter Bears Clear Stamps and the coordinating dies along with some 12 x 12 Unconventional Christmas paper.
Here are the steps to replicate the card:
Step 1. From 85lb White Soft Finish Cardstock, cut a rectangle measuring 4-1/4″ x 11″; score at 5-1/2″ and fold in half to create a top-fold card base.
Step 2. Cut a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock at 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ and run it through an embossing folder. Shown: Large dots) Die cut this with the second largest Stitched Rectangles die to create a card front.
Step 3. Die cut three Dashing Square dies from the Unconventional Christmas paper. Use the third smallest square (roughly 2-3/8″) and fourth smallest (roughly 2-7/8″) to cut the lighter patterned paper and again the fourth smallest to cut the darker pattern paper.
Step 4. Cut three squares of blue-green solid paper – one at 2-1/2″ and two at 3″. Layer the patterned paper onto the blue-green solid paper.
Step 5. With black permanent ink, stamp the bear from the Winter Bear Clear Stamps and cut with the coordinating die. Color the image with Copic markers W00, W02, W05, YG63 and Y26.
Step 6. Using black permanent ink, stamp Happy Holidays from the Classic Christmas Clear Stamps onto the darker color patterned paper square.
Step 7. Adhere the three squares to the card front, using 6mm double sided adhesive for the back two squares and pop tape for the front. Adhere the bear to the front square with pop tape.
Step 8. Adhere the card front to the card base and add a few randomly placed half-pearls.
