Hi there! It’s Tanja here and today I would like to show you how to create this cute Valentine’s Day Tag:
Step 1: Die Cutting
- Cut out the cupcake and some hearts with the help of the Peek a Boo Love set and two of the smaller tags from the Planner Essentials 2 set from white Soft Finish Cardstock
Step 2: Adding Color
- Color the cupcake and the hearts with Alcohol Markers
Step 3: Creating the Background
- Add color with Distress Oxide Ink (Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers) and a Mini Ink Blending Tool
- Cut the colored tag apart by using one of the Valentine’s Edges dies
- Puzzle the pieces together on the second tag
- Cut out additional little dots, color them red and puzzle them into the openings
Step 4: Stamping
- Add more texture to the background by stamping the XOXO from the Love Sentiments Set with Versafine Clair Morning Mist
Step 5: Finishing Touches
- Add some highlights with a white gel pen
- Dye a piece of seam binding with Distress Ink (Picked Raspberry) and thread it through the hole of the tag
Secret Recipe!
- Mix some transparent Craft Drops and Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter to create your own glitter paste
- Use a stylus to add it to the little red dots on the tag (It’s hard to capture the sparkle in a photo but I’m sure you get the idea!)
