Two-toned glitter background Parrot card

April 2, 2020

Hello everyone, it´s Sanna Lippert here again today with another guest design team project share. I have a friend who loves pink and glitter and it´s soon her birthday, so I wanted to make sure her birthday card would be perfect for her. Elizabeht Craft Desings has the prefect products for this project!

Here is how I created this card:

Step 1: Cut a piece of white Soft Finish Cardstock in right size and apply Clear Double Sided Adhesive onto this piece.
Step 2: Die cut your own DIY stencil with Abstrack Background die cut die (or use a residue piece of the adhesive sheet from a previous project, like I did).
Step 3: Apply Saffron and Pink Peony Silk Microfine Glitter thru the “stencil” onto the background. Start with Saffron and finish with Pink Peony.
Step 4: Die cut a hole with Fitted Ovals die cut dies onto the background. Save the residue piece for an Easter Card.

Step 5: Die cut another DIY stencil using the Adventure Edges die cut die. Then apply yellow ink (to create a cloudy sky onto the card base) onto the background.
Step 6: Die cut the Parrot from white Soft Finish Cardstock (apply Clear Double Sided Adhesive onto the back before die cutting). Ink all Parrot pieces in pink and orange Distress Ink tones. Build and adhere the Parrot into the oval area of the card.
Step 7: Stamp a birthday sentiment with Build Your Own Sentiment stamp set and black stamp ink.
Step 8: Add pearls to the card for additional decor (optional).

I´ve also again recorded a start-to-finish step-by-step tutorial for you to watch. I hope you enjoy it and get inspired to create fun glitter cards yourself!

Wishing you a happy, crafty day and see you again next month with another fun tutorial.

xxx, Sanna
