Thinking Of You Card

May 4, 2020

Hi Everyone, it’s Tina here. Today’s card is inspired with our current situation globally. With the lockdown we are all thinking of the day we can visit our family and friends. Below are the steps to create your own Thinking Of You Card.

Step 1 – Trim White Soft Finish Cardstock to 7” x 8 1/2”, score at 3 1/2” and fold in half for a vertical side fold card. (Slimline)

Step 2 – Trim Green Cardstock to 3 1/2” x 8 1/2” and adhere to card front using 3mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape.

Step 3 – Trim Rusty Weathered Patterned Paper to 3 1/2” x 8 1/2”. Diecut Frame It Stitched Circles 3 times. Start in the middle and then diecut top then bottom for 3 windows. If you don’t have Frame It Stitched Circles you can use Stitched Circles.

Step 4 – Diecut Blooming Branches using Green Cardstock 4 times. Randomly trim and place along with windows from the background created from Step 3. Adhere tips to the backside of the background using Kids Choice Glue. Adhere to whole panel to the card front using 3mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape.

Step 5 – Diecut Monkey 3 times using Earth Tone colours (browns and taupe). Assemble and adhere to card using Kids Choice Glue.

Step 6 – Stamp Build Your Own Sentiment using Versamark. Sprinkle White Embossing Powder and remove the excess. Heat set it with a heat tool. Trim and adhere to card using 3mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape.

Step 7 – Diecut Words 2 – Thinking Of You (You die) using White Soft Finish Cardstock 3 times. Glue each layer and adhere to card just under the sentiment using Kids Choice Glue.

This card can be used for several occasions by changing the sentiment, background papers and colours. Below is a link to all the products used. Thank you for stopping by and Happy Crafting!
