Cardmaking Joset Designs

Party Animal Zebra

May 26, 2020

Karen here today from Craftily Yours! There are so many fun dies at Elizabeth Craft Designs that I have a hard time figuring out what I want to do when I start to craft. Today, the FuN Zebra just called from the wild.

So CuTe! The card base was created by cutting an 8-1/2″x11″ piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock in two and folding in the middle. I selected some fun and wild papers from Graphic 45 and cut a card front (black patterned paper) at 4″x5-1/4″. The orange zebra patterned paper was cut with one of the Stitched Rounded Square dies. I adhered it at the angle and then trimmed off the rest with my paper cutter. I then assembled the adorable zebra using Joset’s Technique Video. (Except I colored mine with Copic markers C1, C7, and R00.)

I stamped the “Party Animal” sentiment from the Safari set and die cut it with the Dotted Scallop Circle Dies. Then cut a dark orange fitted circle to mat the sentiment. I cut a dark orange Celebration Flags die and also cut it with another piece of black/white patterned paper.

I wanted to add a bit of color to the flags, so I put some White Craft Drops on a release sheet from ECD Adhesive and let them dry….then colored them up with a YR07 Copic marker.

Then I lifted them off the release sheet with my amazing ECD tweezers and stuck them to the flags with some Kids Choice Glue. I think they turned out pretty great. Here’s a close-up.

As a finishing touch, I added a couple White Craft Drops to the orange square. Thanks for stopping by today!

Craftily yours, Karen
