A Way With Words Cardmaking Craft Drops Inspiration from the Design Team

Perfect

Hey Friends! It’s EK, and I am popping in today to create a little card for a teenage lady who needs a little reminder of how awesome she is. I often find that crafting for that delicate age of 14-18 is really difficult. However, I think the flourishes and elegance of the A Way With Words collection is perfect for connecting with young women of this age demographic.

Step One: Trim a piece of 90lb Soft Finish Cardstock to 4.25×5.5 inches. Place the A Way With Stencils Flourished Frame on a diagonal and blend dark blue ink. I used Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxides.

Step Two: Die cut the large butterfly from the A Way With Words Butterfly Flourish. Apply a temporary adhesive to the back of the die to cut to create a mask, and blend into over the die cut. I used Dusty Concord in Distress Oxide.

Step Three: Peel off the Butterfly Flourish die cut mask.

Step Four: Blend more blue ink around the edges of the cardstock. I used Stormy Sky Distress Oxide. Spray the whole image with shimmer spray. Let dry.

Step Five: Blend ink over a piece of scrap 90lb Soft Finish Cardstock. I used Chipped Sapphire and Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide. Die cut the A Way With Words You Are Perfect die set.

Step Six: Adhere the You Are Perfect die cut to the background using Kids Choice Glue. Using a white gel pen, add highlights to the side of the adhered die cut.

Step Seven: Adhere the background to an A2 card frame using 10mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive. Add a few crafts drops using the Metallic Silver Craft Drops.

I just love how this super simple card turned out. There is just the right amount of girly, and the perfect amount of support for the young lady who will be receiving it.

Let us know in the comments below what kind of ECD supplies you use when crafting for 14-18 year old young women? Until then, happy crafting.
