Cardmaking Elizabeth Craft Designs General Joset Designs

Animals, Washi and Valentine’s Day!

January 20, 2021

Karen here today. I’m sharing a couple cards that I made using Joset’s adorable animals and the gorgeous washi tape! These cards would be great for Valentine’s Day or just as a reminder to that special someone in your life that you love them.

The Monkey die is definitely one of my favorites! I cut the monkey using brown and Kraft paper and added some cheeks and ears with Copic markers and a white gel pen. His eyes and mouth are colored with a black pen. I cut the pieces of him that are “on top” with 101mm Double Sided adhesive on the cardstock to make him easier to put together.

The sentiment is from the Safari Sayings stamps and is framed with a Stitched Circles and Dotted Scallop Circles die cuts. The card base is cut with the Stitched Rounded Rectangles.

I love how just a few pieces of the Reminiscence Washi Tape adds a little interest to the card. As you can see here, I also added a couple half-pearl embellishments. The little strip of paper is a “scrap” that I had left over from the Mystical Winter Papers.

And, oh my, the Raccoon die creates such a cute card! He is cut with black paper and 90 lb White Soft Finish Cardstock, which I colored with Hickory Smoke Distress Ink. The sentiment is also from Safari Sayings. The card background on this card is cut with the Stitched Indented Dies and framed with a piece of black cardstock. I used the beautiful Artsy Scenery Washi Tape! On this one, the scrap of paper is from the Reminiscence Book.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Craftily yours, Karen
