Welcome to my January post for Elizabeth Craft Designs. Today’s card is a great example of me trying something different! As a card maker I feel very comfortable using simple shapes (square or rectangle) to create my card bases from. So when I decided to use this Mushroom House die I was very pleased with myself that I could still use my favourite techniques and create something that represents me and my signature style of card making.
Card Instructions:
Step 1: Use white card to die cut the mushroom card base.
Step 2: Use Copic Markers E51 and E53 to add details to the mushroom as shown below.
Step 3: Use Kraft card and red cardstock to die cut the cap of the mushroom.
Step 4: Die cut the cap details using brown and white card stock. Adhere the white on top of the brown using foam tape then adhere these to the mushroom.
Step 5: Use a variety of card stock colours to die cut the remaining shapes – door, windows, chimney etc. Adhere these to the card.
Step 6: Stamp the sentiment, trim and using foam tape adhere it to the card.
Step 7: Die cut the flowers, and adhere these to the card. Embellish with some sequins, and a twine bow.
It’s such a fun design and makes such a pretty card! I’m so happy I left my comfort zone and created it.
Happy Crafting!
Samantha
