It’s Tanja here and today I would like to show you how to create this Smile Fairy Card step by step.
Step 1: Die Cutting
- die cut all the elements needed for the fairy, a butterfly and a cloud background from white Soft Finish Cardstock using dies from the Fairy 1 and Once upon a Time Accessories sets
Step 2: Adding Color and Assembly
- color the elements with Alcohol Markers and add extra shading with Distress Inks and a Blending Brush
- assemble the fairy and the butterfly
Step 3: Setting the Scene
- cut out a stitched panel from smooth white cardstock using one of the Stitched Rectangles
- create a cloud background with the help of a cloud stencil and Distress Ink
- die cut some hills and a grass border using the Adventure Edges and Adventure Edges 2 sets
- add extra shading with Distress Ink
Step 4: Finishing Touches
- adhere the elements to the background
- die cut the Smile sentiment and color it with Distress Ink
- add a strip of patterned paper to left and right side of the panel before adhering it to a cardbase
- adhere a little gem stone on top of the “i”
