Let Love Grow Card

March 14, 2021

Hey Crafters! Katelyn here, sharing with you my Let Love Grow Card

To create my Let Love Grow Card, I’ve used a variety of the dies and stamps from the new Sidekick Essentials Collection as well as dies from the Planner Essentials Collection and Joset Designs. You’ll want to read below as I share with you how to recreate my card at home.

Step One. Choose two pieces of patterned paper out of the Reminiscence the Book. Die cut a 3 1/4″ Fitted Indented Rectangle out of one of the patterned papers. Die cut a 3 1/2″ Stitched Indented Rectangle out of the other patterned paper. Distress the edges of both rectangles. Ink the edges of both rectangles using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Two. Die cut a 3 3/4″ Fitted Indented Rectangle out of a piece of kraft cardstock. Die cut a 3″ Stitched Indented Rectangle out a piece of kraft cardstock. Distress the edges of both rectangles. Ink the edges of both rectangles using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Three. Choose a piece of patterned paper out of the Reminiscence the Book. From the Planner Essentials – Planner Patterns die, die cut the numbers out of the patterned paper.

Step Four. Choose a piece of patterned paper out of the Reminiscence the Book. From the Sidekick Essentials 17 – Window Folder Set die, die cut the tab out of the patterned paper. Ink the edges of the tab using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Five. Choose a piece of patterned paper out of the Reminiscence the Book. From the Planner Essentials – 8 die, die cut the ragged edge out of the patterned paper. Rip a bit off the top and bottom so that the piece measures 5 1/4″ long. Ink the edges of the edge piece using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Six. Choose a piece of patterned paper out of the Reminiscence the Book. From the Sidekick Essentials – 3 die, die cut the banner out of the patterned paper. Ink the edges of the banner using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Seven. From the Sidekick Essentials 5 die, die cut the & symbol out of a piece of kraft cardstock. Ink the edges of the symbol using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Eight. Next, you’ll need the bee and Let Love Grow hexagon stamps from the Sidekick Essentials – In My Garden Stamp Set. Apply Fossilized Amber Distress Ink to the bee hexagon and stamp onto a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Apply Forest Moss Distress Ink to the Let Love Grow hexagon and stamp onto a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Fussy cut each hexagon out. Ink the edges of both hexagons using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Nine. Adhere the 3 1/2″ rectangle to the 3 3/4″ rectangle.

Step Ten. Adhere the 3″ rectangle to the 3 1/4″ rectangle. Adhere the ragged edge 1/4″ from the right of the 3″ rectangle.

Step Eleven. Adhere the tab 1″ from the top and 1 3/4″ from the bottom of to the 3 1/4″ rectangle. Foam square the 3 1/4″ rectangle to the 3 1/2″ rectangle.

Step Twelve. Adhere the numbers pattern 3/8″ from the right and 1/4″ from the bottom of the 3″ rectangle. Adhere the banner 1/8″ from the left and 7/8″ from the bottom of the 3″ rectangle.

Step Thirteen. Adhere the & symbol 3/4″ from the left and 1/2″ from the bottom of the 3″ rectangle. Foam square the bee hexagon 7/8″ from the right and 7/8″ from the bottom of the 3″ rectangle. Use adhesive and foam squares to adhere the Let Love Grow hexagon 1/8″ from the right and 1/8″ from the bottom of the 3″ rectangle.

Step Fourteen. Cut a cardbase out of White Soft Finish Cardstock that measures 3 3/4″ x 10″, score at 5″. Adhere the cardfront to the cardbase.
