Cardmaking Joset Designs

Down on the Farm

April 18, 2021

Hello friends, it’s Sandy Diller here to share the new Farm Collection from Joset. These little critters are so much fun and so dang cute that it’s hard to stop making them. Today I’m sharing an easel card that shows off these great images.

I don’t know if a donkey can drive a tractor but it’s fun to think about.

I just couldn’t pack enough fun into the tractor so decided to make a little trailer to go with it so I could use even more of these charming characters.

To make the tractor and trailer you will need a large card. I made mine 5″X7″. The card base needs to be 7″X 10″ and scored on the 10″ side at 5″ and 7.5″ (shown in blue). The green panel is 6.75″ by 2.75 and then scored at 1/2″ on the long side. I used the adventure edges to make the grass by lining it up on the score line and then folding upward.

The white panel is 2″X 6.5 and then stamped using the “Life is Better on the Farm” stamp set.

The entire panel was popped up using double sided foam tape but this is a personal choice.

The panel was added to the bottom of the card with the grass section folded upward. This holds the easel portion that is shown above.

The tractor was cut from green (it can be any color you like) then edged with a darker green. For the trailer, simply cut a rectangle. round the bottom edges and add a thin strip at the top.

Add the wheels, I used one large and three smaller ones to make mine. Add some hay if you like.

On a panel made from white Soft Finish Cardstock ( 6.75″ X 4.75″ ). Clouds were added and then a green base followed by some hay bales.

I die cut some of the farm animals – the donkey and sheep were to be placed in the tractor/trailer looking over the edge so I didn’t need to assemble the entire animal but the rooster is another story.

The panel was completed with all the cute animals and the tractor (I popped them up with foam tape).

I hope you have enjoyed a little Hee Haw – Down on the Farm.
