Holy Cow! It’s Your Birthday!

May 23, 2021

Hello Samantha here! Welcome! I couldn’t resist creating this card with the new release Farm series. This cow is so adorable and I’ve paired it up with and unexpected die to create this hillside card background.

Card Instructions:

Step 1: Use green cardstock and pattern paper to die cut the bottom half of the Entwined egg die.

Step 2: Combine the two die cuts together and adhere to a light blue card base (measurements: 10.5cm x 14.5cm). Trim any excess.

Step 3: (Optional) Add machine stitched details.

Step 4: Die cut the cow die and adhere the pieces together loosely. Use a blending tool (or cotton bud) to apply pink ink to the cows cheeks as shown below.

Step 5: Adhere the assembled cow to the card front. Adhere googly eyes to the cow.

Step 6: Die cut the clouds (using the Tree die). Adhere the clouds to the card front using foam tape.

Step 7: Stamp the sentiment onto light blue card, trim, and adhere to the card front.

Step 8: Die cut the flowers from the Entwined Egg die, adhere them to the card front. Embellish the card front with sequins and a twine bow. Adhere the card front to an A6 card base.

I had a lot of difficulty choosing between the cow and the sheep for this card. Either would work… I just really like how I was able to re use the Entwined Egg die (clearly used for Easter/Spring themed cards) and create this hill side background. Wonder what other dies on the Elizabeth Craft Designs website could also create a fun, yet different unintended background?

Happy Crafting

Samantha
