Cardmaking Inspiration from the Design Team Joset Designs Planner Essentials

Wishing you Oceans of Joy

June 27, 2021

Hello and Welcome! Samantha here, and today I wanted to share a simple technique that I love to use to create larger backgrounds with smaller background stamps. I’ve picked a stamp set that goes perfectly with the Mermaid die so I hope its something you try out yourself!

Card Instructions:

Step 1: Stamp the scalloped imaged from Background Stamp 3 onto a white card front measuring 10.5cm x 14.5cm.

Step 2: Stamp the image again onto masking paper.

Step 3: Fussy cut the masked imaged, remove the adhesive backing sheet and adhere it to the first stamped image.

Step 4: Position the Scalloped image above the masked area and stamp the image using a different ink colour.

Step 5: Remove the mask.

Step 6: Place the mask over the last stamped scallop image and repeat steps 4 and 5 until the card front is completely stamped.

Step 7: Use a variety of coloured card stock to die cut the Mermaid die. Assemble the mermaid and adhere to the card front.

Step 8: Stamp the sentiment.

Step 9: Embellish the card front with sequins, and a twine bow. Adhere card front to an A6 cardbase.

Thanks for stopping by for today’s tutorial – I hope you try this technique out! It’s a lot of fun creating your own background and there’s many Elizabeth Craft Designs stamps you can try it with.

Happy Crafting!

Samantha
