When you love chocolate, you need to make the very famous cow! This time I made the cow with felted wool, love the texture of this! At first I cut out all the pieces from the felt in different colors like white, purple and light pink. I didn’t have the color brown that I wanted to use for the feet so I decided to use Ground Expresso Distress Ink to color the white felt brown. On the back site I used double sided adhesive. Then it’s super easy to assemble your cow.
For the background I used Lindy’s Magicals. This is a powder with a lot of pigments. I used the colors Prima Donna Purple and Cattail Copper Brown. When you spray with water you have a lot of colors! Of course I wanted to have purple on the background, because that’s the color of the cow. I also added a little bit of brown to match with the chocolate.
For a simple effect on the background I used a mask from the stencil pack S041 together with expanding mouse (worn linnen). When you heat the expanding mouse it gives a really great effect!
Then I made a chocolate bar. First I cut a piece of White Soft Finisch Cardstock 9 x 6 cm. for the bar and colored this piece with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I added 6 little squares measuring 2.1 x 2.1 cm that I colored with the same ink. It is so easy to make a paper chocolate bar. Wish it was that easy to make a real one 😉
And of course I had to use some Silk Microfine Glitter on this card! This time I used the stain die from the 1848 Puzzle page. It looks like spots on a cow. I first cut the stain pieces from white cardstock with clear double sided adhesive on top. I then remove the top sheet of the adhesive and colored the exposed adhesive with 661 Violet Silk Microfine Glitter. I then added the spots on the background piece of the card.
For the bottom of the chocolate bar I used a piece of paper in purple with white dots. This paper I used later on the background of the hole card. I also cut a banner (fitted fishtails 1694) from White Soft Finish Cardstock and stamped the sentiment “Cow’s it going?” from the farm collection (life it better on the farm CS221). This time I used embossing powder for the stamps. The background color is also distress ink Vintage Photo.
Hope you like it and see you all soon!!
