Mini Slimline Happy Halloween Card

September 6, 2021

Hi everyone, it’s Tina here. I have a spooktacular card to share with you using the Scarecrow die. I just love how it glows against my background. Below you will find the steps to create your own card.

Step 1 – Trim White Soft Finish Cardstock to 7” x 6”, score at 3 1/2” and fold in half for a vertical side fold card. (Mini Slimline)

Step 2 – Trim White Soft Finish Cardstock to 3 1/2” x 6”. Apply ink of your choice. I used Distress Oxide in Wlted Violet, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot. Splash some water and wait 15 seconds and then place a Paper Towel on top to absorb with water. Let dry then adhere the panel to card using 3mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape.

Step 3 – Diecut Halloween Scenery using Black Cardstock. Stamp Spooky Sentiment using Versamark. Sprinkle White Embossing Powder and remove the excess. Heat set it with a Heat Tool. (Both Halloween Scenery and Spooky Sentiment is discontinued so this will apply to anyone who already has it in their stash. Also I did some masking to only have the Happy Halloween, simply place Washi tape on top of the areas you don’t want to stamp, ink it up then before stamping remove the Washi tape). Adhere to card using Foam Tape.

Step 4 – Diecut Scarecrow using various colors of cardstock. I added some shading to the pumpkin head and arms using Distress Oxide Ripe Persimmon and Black Soot to the clothing. Assemble using Kids Choice Blue and adhere it to the card using Foam Tape.

The Scarecrow is a fun die and can be used on Tags, cards and other projects. Below is a link to the products used. Thank you for stopping by and Happy Crafting.
