Hey Friends! It’s EK and I am getting ready for Halloween today by pulling out my Halloween Accessories die set and my collection of Silk Microfine Glitter to create a nit of halloween magic.
Step One: On a piece of trimmed 90lb Soft Finish Cardstock, blend ink in halloween colors. I used Carved Pumpkin, Mowed Lawn and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide.
Step Two: Splatter the ink with water. Let dry.
Step Three: Blend dark ink around the edges of the cardstock. I used Black Soot Distress Oxide.
Step Four: Die cut the inked cardstock with the Stitched Indented Rectangle die set.
Step Five: Using 10mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive, adhere the die cut inked panel to an A2 card frame.
Step Six: Die cut the Halloween Accessories die set out of Clear Double Sided Adhesive sheets. I used the witches hat and broom set.
Step Seven: Adhere the broom handle onto the card frame. Peel off top adhesive sheet and add Copper Bronze Silk Microfine Glitter from the Earth Palette Collection.
Step Eight: Add the bristles of the broom and coat the clear double sided adhesive with Moonbeam from the Earth Palette Silk Microfine Glitter collection.
Step Nine: Add the broom band and add Brushed Pewter Silk Microfine Glitter to it.
Step Ten: Add the witches hat and add Lavender Ice Silk Microfine Glitter.
Step Eleven: Add the witches band and coat the adhesive in Leaf Green Silk Microfine Glitter.
Step Twelve: Add Black Soot Distress Oxide to a a scrap of 90lb Soft Finish Cardstock. Die cut the sentiment ‘happy halloween’ from the Words 3- Happy Holidays.
Step Thirteen: Adhere the sentiment to the card frame using liquid adhesive such as Kids Choice Glue. Add a few squeezes of Craft Drops in Pearl Olive. Let dry.
I just love how the die cuts look covered in glitter. I think it makes the whole card look really special.
