Hi everyone it’s Jackie back again today. Recently my son graduated from university so I just had to use the new monster die’s from Joset to create his celebration card, this design has a little bit of hand drawn fussy cutting however you can leave the mortarboard off then this would be suitable for any celebration.
Step One:
Start by die cutting a whole load of confetti pieces using the die set – party time shapes 1978. Glue all the shapes on to the front of a top folding card blank measuring 5.25 x 5.25″

Step Two:
Cut out a circle of white card measuring approximately 4″ ink the centre in a circular shape (I used a acetate template I made from a smaller die) stamp out the sentiment towards the edge then add a couple of lines using a black pen. Fix in place using 3d foam pads.

Step Three:
Draw and fussy cut all the pieces for the mortarboard, I didn’t worry to much about being accurate with the diamond shape however you may have a die that would work for this step.
Roll the tiny fringe piece and glue it to the end of the thin strip, punch a tiny hole into the centre of the diamond piece and thread the tassel end though and glue in place, fussy cut a half moon shape then attach the two together with a couple of 3d foam pads. see photo in step 4.

Step Four:
Die cut and build the monster in which ever colour way you like. Attach the mortarboard then fix him in place using more 3d foam pads.

Step Five:
Next create the bubbly and glass, both of these die’s come in the same set – party time shapes 1978.
Die cut the bottle into green card then again into gold card fussy cutting the gold top part, cut a small white label and add a tiny message. Cut the glass into acetate then add gold fine glitter to the reverse side to resemble bubbles.

Thank you for stopping by today.. I hope I have inspired you to make a monster celebration card.
Happy crafting Jackie x

I love how you created the cap for this fun graduate. What a great background of confetti too. The monster is so cute.
