Mini Valentines Banner

January 30, 2023

Hello crafty friends, it’s Summer Hills-Painter here. Today I wanted to share a cute mini Valentine’s Day Banner. Let me show you in the steps below how I created this.

Preparation:

Cut 3 of the largest Fitted Fishtail banners from Chocolate Cardstock. Cut 3  of the second largest banner from pink patterned cardstock. Cut 3 hearts using the Scallop Hearts die set from cream cardstock. Additionally, cut 3 hearts from the Fitted Hearts die set out of pink cardstock. From Planner Essentials 20 – Half Heart die set, cut “LOVE” three times from chocolate cardstock. Cut the “O” from the love die 3 addition times in chocolate and 6 times from red cardstock. From the Planner Essentials Retro Alphabet Tri, cut the “Y” and “U” 3 times from chocolate cardstock. Cut and assemble an elephant from the Elephant die set. Using the Beaver and Squirrel die sets to create a skunk. A tutorial can be found on this blog post Stinking Cute Skunk. Also use the heart lightbulb from Planner Essentials 20 and cut a heart from red cardstock

Instructions:
Adhere the pink banner to the chocolate banner

Using a hole punch, punch two holes in each banner. I used the We R planner punch because it is easy to set the width of the hole for the banner and then you can flip the banner over and punch and have the same distance on the other side.

Adhere the cream hearts and pink hearts to the banner pieces.

Adhere the Elephant die cut to one of the banners. I have also added hearts from the same Elephant die set.

Adhere the skunk to another banner piece. Adhere the red heart into the skunks hands

Adhere three sets of each letter together. Arrange the letters on the banner piece and adhere

String the three banner pieces together with coordinating ribbon and the project is complete
