Berry Sweet

May 8, 2023

Hello crafty friends, it’s Summer Hills-Painter here. Today I am sharing a simple positive motivation card.

Preparation:

Cut and assemble five strawberries from the Strawberry die set. Cut two leaves and both swirls from the Strawberry Die set. I have inked the strawberries and leaves for some added dimension. On the strawberries, I added white gel pen in the debossed berry seeds. Cut a white circle from the Dotted Scalloped Circles die set. Cut a rectangle from pink cardstock using the Stitched Rectangle die set. Cut a rectangle from patterned cardstock from the Fitted Rectangles die set. Cut the word “Berry” from the Planner Essentials 23 die set from the same red cardstock used for the strawberries.

Instructions:
Using a post-it note turn backwards so that the sticky side is up, temporarily adhere the word berry. With finger daubers, add two colors of red ink to create an ombre effect. These are the same two colors of ink used to shade the strawberries in the prior step.

Using the “you’re so sweet” sentiment from the General Sentiments stamp set, stamp the sentiment onto the scalloped circle die cut. I chose to cut my stamp apart so that I could have space for me die cut word. For those that do not wish to cut their stamp, this step could be done with masking off words and stamping them, also leaving a gap for the word “Berry”

Adhere the word “Berry” to the die cut scalloped circle

Adhere the scalloped circle to the patterned rectangle die cut. Then adhere the panel to the pink stitched rectangle die cut

Adhere the leaves and the two vine swirls to the card panel

Adhere the die cut strawberries to the card panel

To finish off the card, adhere the card panel to a white A2 card base and the project is complete
