Let the fun begin

December 9, 2022

Hi all, It is finally time to work with the prompts for December. This time I really wanted to play with the TN. It is a great size but also good to combine with the dies from Joset.

For this page I used the paper from Esther (Christmas Lives Here) and Soft Finish Cardstock. I used the straight page die and tore some Soft Finish Cardstock as snow.

On the left and right side I added a sentiment. This is a die from the Sidekick Essentials with holes but I trimmed the holes so I only have the sentiment.

I also die-cut some trees from the Sidekick Essentials. I used the two different sizes but also adhered them in different lengths. The snow layer is only adhered at the sides so I can put the trees behind the layer.

After that I made the Gnome using the paper from the Christmas Lives Here. Isn’t it a cute one.

And at the left I wrote the prompt at the signpost. Only adding some flakes for the snowy look and the page is done.

I hope you got some ideas. Thank you for visiting!

See you soon!

Kind regards Lisanne Geerdink

Jellie’s Christmas house

November 28, 2022

Hii all, it is almost the best time of the year in my opinion. If I aks my nephew he would say the same. The card that I’m sharing with you today is a birthday card for him. He love his cat Jellie and like Christmas. That’s for me 2 good things to combine.

For this card I use the beautiful Christmas Lives Here and some Soft Finish Cardstock for the cat.

I started with a stitched hexagon as base.

Instead of a doghouse I made a cat house. When you use this dies you only made the green part. I adhere some black paper so it looks more like a closed house.

After that I made the red parts and made some Christmas lights. The ligths are a dies from de Holiday Bird House. It brings me into the Christmas mood. I made some sparkling Christmas lights with the Silk Microfine Glitter. Just die-cut the lights with some double sided adhesive at the top. That is why I can put some glitter at it and rub it to the tape.

Now the cat is still missing. My nephew have a cat named Jellie. He is black with white and some green/yellow eyes. He is wearing a party hat from the party time dies.

When I finished everything the background was empty. It was a little late when I think about making a background with a stencil. So I did it very carefully at the sides.

I hope you like this blogpost and get some ideas.

Thankyou for visiting and see you next time!

Kind regards Lisanne

Celebrate

November 10, 2022

Hi all! It is time for a new blogpost from me. This time I share a birthday card for my grandfather.

I started with a piece of woodgrain paper from Tim Holtz. I coloured it with Distress Stain Spray (Vintage Photo and Frayed Burlap). I also added Distress Oxide Ink Brushed Corduroy and Ground Espresso. And at least I used the Distress Crayons Ground Espresso and Anitque Bronze for some highlights.

I had the idea to use vellum but only vellum without stamping. But when I did some stamping I loved it. First I stampeld with some gold ink and stamp CS234. After that I stamped some words in it with the monthly overview (CS252). I added the vellum on top of the Woodgrain Cardstock.

I also used the banner from Planner Essentials 42.

The next step is making the age of my grandfather with some pieces from Reminiscene the book 3. I made a small group with the numbers.

This group comes behind the frame from Planner Essentials 42. Just adding a reinforcement and some hemp cord. At least I put some black cardstock behind the Woodgrain Cardstock.

I’ll hope you got inspired by this card! Thankyou for watching/reading and see you the next time.

Kind regards Lisanne

Label box

October 27, 2022

Hii all!

I’m here today with a new blogpost. I am very excited about this project because I can use a lot of different things. I used a Vignette Box from Tim Holtz filled with dies from Esther and Joset. It is such a fun project to fill.

As you can see I used a lot of different base dies. I used the cutting tags from the paperpad Christmas Lives here, Planner Essentials 42 (shapes, frames and words), the Library Pocket Filler Cards and the Nested Tags from Joset (1998). With these dies you can make a lot of different combinations. So let’s start with the first one.

I used the paper from Christmas Lives Here to start with. For this card I also used some corrugated cardboard and tear that. At the back I used a stencil with some icicle texture paste. Adhere the corrugated cardboard, a label and some holly with berries.

At the back I only made the lantern from the Lantern Page.

For the next card I stamped with the Peace and Joy stamp, Versamark and some red Embossing Powder. It is not that tight, but I like this for now. At the right I made a little tab.

At the back I used the stamp Crayons with Journaling Cards and another Holly with berries.

The next card is made with the Frames from Planner Essentials 42. Just die-cutting the full card with the beautiful bird and added a frame.

At the back of the frame I did some stamping, used an older label and added some tab behind the label. I also used the small trees from the Sidekick Essentials. And ofcourse some sparkling.

For the next card I started with some stencil and Ink for the background, added a part of the tree page and a small Nutcracker.

And at the back also some stamping with embossingpowder, some gifts and a stamped paperclip. I really love to make combinations with dies and stamps.

And last but not least I made these two tags with Santa and Mrs. Santa.

I think I told you everything for now haha. It is a long post this time, but I had some much fun making and sharing this. Below this post you can see all the used products.

Thankyou for visiting!

Kind regards

Sweet as hot chocolate

October 21, 2022

Hii everyone! It is finaly time to share my cards with you using the new Cozy and Warm Collection from Joset. It is such a wonderfull collection in my opinion. I have a lot of ideas with this collection.

So for today I want to share a hot chocolate tag with you. I like to make cards with Distress Ink, but today I used some texture paste, sprays and Oxide Inks.

I started with the biggest tag and made a texture with the Planner Essentials Stencil 1 and Distress Structure paste.

Then the fun part, adding some Distress Mica Spray: ‘Snow Flurries and Frosted Juniper’. Just spraying and adding a little bit of water. And ofcourse drying with a heat tool.

After that I inked the edges with Distress Ground Espresso. Some spots are a little bit more than the edges hihi. The next step is making the mug with hot chocolate, cinnamon and coffee beans. I used Soft Finish Cardstock and Distress Oxide Ink to colour everything.

The last step is making the fishtail with a sentiment from the new stamps. I’ll hope you like this idea. It is a realy nice way to make gift tags in the same way but with different colours.

I think I told everything about this tag. Thankyou for visiting and see you soon!

Kind Regards,

Hello Fall

September 23, 2022

It is almost Fall over here in the Netherlands so time to play with this season. This time I made a page in my TN. I used the Holiday Special Kit and some dies from Joset.

First I made the page with the house dies and the Fabrick paper. I realy love the brick at the back. The roof is made with Kraft Cardstock paper from Tim Holtz. This is beautiful paper which you can scrub.

Then it is time to decorate the house with some fall stuff. At the left page I adhere a three with leaves and pumpkin’s. All these parts are coloured with Distress Oxide Ink.

At the right page I used stamp/dies from the girl and lantern from the Holiday Special Kit. You can colour this with anything you want, I thought the watercolour pallete from ECD is perfect for this.

At least I made a big pumpkin and some smaller with some leaves. And in the right corner I adhere a sentiment. I like to adhere everything in different depths. The leaves are between the pumpkins, behind the pumpkins and in front of the pumpkins.

I think this is everything about this page. I hope you liked this post and got some ideas.

Thankyou for visiting and see you soon!

Kind regards Lisanne Geerdink

Winter wishes

September 10, 2022

Hii all, hope you’re all doing fine. So here in the Netherlands it is still warm for a few days. To cool down I made this winter card with Jack Frost. Still like him!

I started with a piece of Soft Finish Cardstock from 15 x 19 cm. I made a scoreline at 15 cm. That means you have a piece of 15 x 15 cm and 4 x 15 cm. At the piece 4 x 15 cm I made a border with the winter edges. It is a no ending die so it is perfect for this card.

After that I trimmed a piece of 15 x 15 cm from acetate and adhere this at the back of edges.

At the bottom I made some snow layers. I tear this pieces with my hand and put some Distress Ink at the edges. You can see the layers better now. I adhere the layers with double sided adhesive at the sides and bottom. The middle is open so I can put things between the layers.

Time to decorate the card with Jack Frost and some trees. The trees are from the Sidekick Essentials. Everything is coloured with Distress Ink, but you can use any medium you want.

At the top you can read a sentiment from stamp set CS148. I also made some sparkling snow with Stickles at the acetate.

I’ll hope you liked this post and got a new idea. You can make this card in different styles, a flower card will also be beautiful. So thankyou for visiting and see you soon!

Kind regards Lisanne Geerdink

Back to school

August 25, 2022

Hi all, I’m back with some new inspiration. I have a half planner page for you with the pocket pages. I’m a teacher and get my class ready for the new school year. I want to make a planner with all school things because it is my first year as a teacher of my own class.

I made the half pages pocket today. I used the Pocket Pages filler dies (1973 and 1974). My classroom is in the blue/yellow tones. So the Reminiscene book 2 and 4 are perfect for this page.

I also cut out some elements out of the book like the stamps.

I used some elements from the filler dies but also from some older planner dies. Like the structure and the labels. I like to put everything in different directions.

As you can see you can combine old and new together. And in the pockets you have space to use things like hemp cord.

I’ll hope you get some ideas with this page. Thankyou for reading! All used products you can find below.

Christmas in the forest

August 11, 2022

Hii everyone, it is my turn to share a card with you today. In the Netherlands it is pretty warm so I made a Christmas card. I’m using some older dies, some new planner dies and everything in between hihi.

So it is a pop-up card in Christmas theme. I started with a piece of brown paper 21 cm x 30,5 cm. I made a crease at the 15,25 cm. Exactly the middle. In the Middle I used the 2 cm pop-up dies.

I did the same thing but then with a smaller pop-up dies. I did this at both sides 3,5 cm from the outside. I also trimmed from light brown paper a piece who fits perfectly at the bottom.

Now it’s time to start build the card and making some fun elements. So I started with the mushroom. This is a dies from Joset’s Storybook Collection. I used almost all the dies only the grass and the flowers not this time. But I did used the lights from the newest planner release from Esther, Planner Essentials 53. I die-cut it twice, one in brown, one in Soft Finish Cardstock so I can build up the lights. I also used the Winter Greens from the Florals the give the Mushroom a Christmas look.

The back from the Mushroom is adhere at pop-up in the middle. The next step is adhere the trees at the back, not the pop-up. The trees are from the Mason Jar kit, beautiful trees. I adhere them in different hights, so it gives more dimension.

Then I adhere some lighter trees at the darker trees.

And at least some trees at the pop-up.

Later I will add someting between the trees but for now I will make the gnomes from Joset’s dies. These gnomes are great because you can make different gnomes. I made a small boy with a mushroom and tree. I added the tree later so you can’t see it on this picture. I also used the star from Planner Essentials 53.

And the girl gnome with some holly at here dress. This is a dies from the snowglobe from Joset’s dies.

Then I was thinking how can I fill the rest? Well I adhere some stones at path. These stones are from the sea collection.

And what I also did is making to fishtails at both sides with 2 different sentiments. Both sentiments are from the Joyful Wishes stamp.

So that was my blogpost for today. I know I used a lot of dies but go through your dies and see what you have. You can also used some other dies for the path.

So thankyou for visiting! See you soon.

Kind regards Lisanne Geerdink

Sweet ‘n Scary

July 28, 2022

Hi all, hope you’re doing all fine and ready for a new blogpost. It is my turn again today so I made a planner page with the lovely monsters from Joset. It is a great collection for making cards, but also great for using in a planner.

So let’s start with the page. I used the base page without tab at it (1604). It is an older dies but I think some of you have it. Above this base page I adhere the splatter page. It is just a beautiful pages that give something special. The paper I used is from Reminiscene the book 4. For the next steps I lay everything at the page and when I’m happy with it I adhere all together.

The background was very clean for me so I cut out two tags which came out the Reminiscene book 4. I als trimmed of a piece paper which I teared at the sides. Now it looks like 2 pockets with tags. Just putting a reinforcement and some hemp cord at the tags and I can adhere it. I also adhere the reinforcements at the page before everything is covered.

All the edges are coloured with Distress Ink Black Soot.

Now we can make the picture frames. The Planner Filmstrip dies (1656) has 2 frames, one with tab and one without. I die-cut this from black and kraft paper so I can make combine this together.

Behind the frames I adhere some paper so I can add pictures later. In the Splatter page set there are flowers in it. I used this as decoration at the frames. In the flowers I add the fallen pieces from the reinforcements.

I adhere the frame a little diagonally. And then the monsters. This monster is a combination from monster 2 and 3. I used the belly, tooth and wings from monster 2, the eyes from monster 3 and the nose from the party time set. The tooths are great as hair. All these elements are coloured with Distress Ink.

Isn’t this a cute one? Now then you’ll find the next one even as cute. This is monster 2 with his hat, big feets and hands who hold the frames. He even has a little flower at the top of his hat.

Then the last frame. This frame is without the tab, but I put a little filmstrip piece between the frame.

For me it gives a little bit extra. At the bottom of the frame I adhere a piece from the Reminiscene book and an arrow. Also at this frame I adhere some flowers. Oh and I totally forgot to say, before I adhere the frames to the pages I stamped some sentiments from the Monster hugs at it.

So I think I told you everything about this page, hopefully you liked it and got some ideas to.

Thankyou for visiting and see you soon!

Kind regards,

Lisanne Geerdink
