Welcome Little One

April 4, 2023

Hi everyone, it’s Tina here. I needed a card for a new baby card but found myself with no specific dies or stamps. I looked through my Elizabeth Crafts Design stash and came up with the following. Below are the steps to create your own card.

Step 1 – Trim White Soft Finish Cardstock to 4 1/4″ x 8 1/2″, score at 5 1/2″ and fold in half for a vertical side fold card. (A2)

Step 2 – Trim White Soft Finish Cardstock to 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″. Place Planner Stencil 3 on top of the panel to create some interest. Use a blender Brush to apply ink directly on the stencil.

Step 3 – Diecut Fitted Rectangles using the panel created in Step 2.

Step 4 – Stamp Life Is Better On The Farm Sentiments using Versafine Onyx Black Ink directly on the panel created in Step 2. Adhere to card using Foam Tape.

Step 5 – Diecut Ducks using various colors of cardstock. Assemble and add some highlights using an alcohol marker. I used Copics for some shading. Adhere to card using Kids Choice Glue.

When you lack specific dies and or stamps don’t hesitate to look through your stash. Most likely you have something that will create the card that you need. Below is a link to all the products used. Thank you for stopping by and Happy Crafting!

Scary Food Truck

March 15, 2023

Karen here today posting a bit more inspiration using the Food Truck! Today’s inspiration is about a scary truck!

Started by creating this adorable little monster with the Monster 1 set. How sweet is he playing on top of the truck with his partially eaten cookie?!

I added some cookies and corn also to the window of the food truck. (The cookies are part of the Monsters 1 set – I added chocolate chips with a pen. The corn is part of the Corn Field set.) I cut the awning in both black and orange to add this little decoration to the awning.

Final touches to the food truck included the eye and the truck sign that are from the Monster Hugs Stamp set and the dots along the bumper that I did with a silver glitter pen.

Thank you for stopping by today!

Butterfly Cards

March 8, 2023

Karen here. Excited to be sharing a couple cards I made with the beautiful hand-drawn stamps! Both of them use the smaller butterfly from the English Countryside 2 set.

I used a die from File Folder Set 1 to cut the card base for this first card from the Reminiscence Book 5. I cut the next layer with the smaller File Folder die from the same set but cut it in half. The butterfly is colored with Copic R81, R83, and R85; it is cut with the coordinating dies. I love the little stamps that are in the Reminiscence book! The butterfly is on a Stitched Circle die cut with a piece of a doily attached. I love the sentiment from Smell the Flowers.

The cardstock for this next card is a combination of 90 lb Soft Finish Cardstock with a piece of flower paper from my stash. The pink behind the Stitched Circle is from the Reminiscence Book. I added a few florals from the Florals 3 set and a diecut from the Flower Power set (that I cut with vellum to keep it light). I colored the butterfly with Copic R20, R22, and R24.

Love grows here

February 17, 2023

Hi everyone! It is Lisanne here today with a new blogpost. It is a few days ago when it was 14 february but I think loving someone can be at any day.

Let’s start with the background I made at the Fitted Rounded Rectangle. I used a stencil from the Planner Stencils 1 and Peeled Paint Distress Oxide. I also inked the edged and make some lines at the background.

After that I made all the elements for this card. I started with the hay ride. Everything is inked with Distress Ink at the Soft Finish Cardstock.

I made the scarecrow as a boy and a girl. For the girl I used hair from the Holiday Elf Hers.

When I adhere the Hay ride at the card I missed something. I added some hay at the Hay ride.

The two scarecrows are in the car and I think they like each other.

At least I added a fishtail with the sentiment ‘love grows here’.

I hope that you like this cute card with the two scarecrows who fall in love with each other.

Thankyou for visiting and see you soon!

Kind regards,

Lisanne Geerdink

Vintage Cards

February 15, 2023

Karen here today sharing a couple vintage cards using the stamps from Anya and the Reminiscence book from Esther. Having such fun with these collections. I really love the sentiment from the first card.

The sentiment is a tag in the Reminiscence 5 Book. How cute for a card just to say hello to a friend. The pretty lady is in the English Countryside 1 Stamps and is cut with the coordinating dies. She is colored with Copic Markers YR61, YR65, E00, E01, R20, C1, C3, Y21, and Y23. I love to color! She is placed on a card base of cardstock from the Remniscence 5 book with the “words” part being die cut with an octagon die. (I fussy cut the tiny orange border on it.)

Next up is the sweet teacup that is in the Cream & Sugar set. I used the same set of Copics on this card. The frame is also from that set, and again, all of the paper here is from the Reminiscence 5 Book. The “For You” sentiment is part of the stamps from the Mason Jar set.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Enjoy today

January 20, 2023

Hi all! I’m here with a page in my little book which I made last year. It is a project with small pages because I used the Arrow Insert Dies. Great for a little book!

If you use the Arrow Insert dies you get a page. But if you trim this in half you can make a lot of different combinations. First I stamped at the open arrow with CS215, just lightly.

At the back of the open arrow I made a little scene with the Slimline Adventure Edges and the Ducks. I adhere this at with some double sided adhesive.

At the tab on top I did some stamping ‘enjoy today’. Now it is time to make it into a shake card.

At the back I put some double sided adhesive at all the sides and adhere acetate. After that I need to put some double sided adhesive again at the acetate. Now you need the do this against each other so the shaker material can’t fall out.

I also adher a daffodil on top of the page and of course a reinforcer from the third set.

It is a short post but I hope you liked it.

Thankyou for visiting!

See you soon!

Kind regards Lisanne Geerdink

Hello Darling

January 11, 2023

Karen here. I’m doing my first post with the brand new stamps that are available in many local and online craft stores! I love coloring and am loving these new stamps.

This first card uses the sweet lady from the English Countryside 2 set. To create the card, I used the Stitched and Fitted Rectangles to create the frame that holds half a doily. I placed it on the card background that was cut with the Stitched Indented Rectangle die wrapped in lace and pink twine.

I stamped and die cut the image (using the coordinating dies). I colored it with Copic markers. On the image above, I wrote down the colors that I used.

And HOW FUN is this old timey telephone from the Hello Darling set. I only used a bit of C1 and C3 Copic markers to highlight the shaded areas and some E41 to color in the buttons. I love the effect of the mostly white on that pretty background paper that I die cut with the Stitched Rounded Rectangles where I also adhered the other half of the doily.

On the inside, I used 90 lb Soft Finish Cardstock for the inside that I added a small strip of the pattern paper from the front. I also stamped and die cut Hello Darling (also from the Hello Darling set). I added some R81, R83 and YG13 coloring to the roses.

That’s it for me today. Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Craftily yours, Karen

Be Mine Mini Slimline Card

January 10, 2023

Hi everyone, it’s Tina here. Happy New Year! I wish you all a healthy and happy 2023. This is my first blog post for the new year. I can’t believe it. The next holiday to look forward to is Valentine’s Day. Below you will find a card using the Gnomes Dies, Dotted Background Die and the Love Sentiments Stamps from Joset Designs.

Step 1 – Trim White Soft Finish 110 lbs to 7″ x 6″, score at 3 1/2″ and fold in half for a horizontal top fold card. (Mini Slimline)

Step 2 – Trim White Soft Finish 110 lbs to 3 3/8″ x 5 7/8″. Apply Inks of your choice using colors Fuchsia, Lt. Red, Lt. Orange and Yellow. Set aside to dry.

Step 3 – Diecut Dotted Background using a scrap piece of cardstock to use as a stencil. Place it on top of the panel created in Step 2. Apply Texture Paste Translucent Gloss, remove the stencil. Quickly add some Soft Microfine Glitter Cool Diamond before the Paste dries. This will secure the Glitter. Let dry then adhere to the card front using 3mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape.

Step 4 – Diecut Gnomes using White Soft Finished Cardstock 110 lbs. Color in using any color medium of your choice. I used Copics. Be sure to only use the same colors for your background. Assemble using Kid’s Choice Glue.

Step 5 – Stamp Love Sentiments using Ink in a Fuchsia color. Place the Gnomes on the card front first before stamping to make sure the positioning will not hide the sentiment. Once the sentiment is stamped adhere the Gnomes using Kid’s Choice Glue.

Step 6 – Optional – For added interest apply some Shimmer to the glasses and flower center using a Shimmer Pen.

This card can be used for several occasions by simply changing the colors and sentiment. Below is a link to all the products used. Thank you for stopping by and Happy Crafting!
