Birthday Card in a box with a coordinating Book Boxed Booklet

July 14, 2023

Hello, lovely friends!!

Rajni Chawla here, from Timeless Creations. I am super excited to be joining Elizabeth Craft Designs as a Brand Ambassador on their Floral Team. Handmade paper flowers have always been my reason to smile. I can spend hours and hours in my craft room to create paper flowers. It’s so much fun and relaxing to shape the paper into beautiful flowers and use them for my handmade cards and albums. I love creating layered cards and I see Elizabeth Crafts have some awesome dies to work on. I am excited to dig in and get started with my design team package that was sent by the company. Lots of floral and card inspirations coming your way in the coming months, for sure!!

Today, I am here on the Elizabeth Crafts Designs blog, showcasing my very first projects using Elizabeth Craft Designs supplies. Today, I have two projects to share. A beautiful floral card with a coordinating box and a Boxed booklet.

Project 1: BirthdayCard and its coordinating box

The ready-top fold card from smooth white cardstock measures 6″ by 7 1/2″. The card front is decorated using 3 panels cut using Stitched Indented Rectangles. I have used black and silver cardstock for the bottom and middle layers and patterned paper for the top layer. Extra dimensions are added using double-sided tape. The topmost panel is created using Stitched Ovals and pattern paper.

The beautiful paper flowers are created using Florals 14 and the green foliage is created using Elegant Leaves 1. The sentiment from With Love Sentiments stamp set is stamped in black on the banner cut from Book Box die set.

I coordinated the box using the same patterned paper and created a window using frames Stitched Indented Rectangle die. The sides of the box are decorated using a decorative die from Book Box die set. The threaded hearts made an easy lift to the card which I created using a heart die from Bon Bon Box Large die set. The decorative pink paper bow made using Bon Bon Box Large die made the box more presentable.

Project 2: Book Boxed Booklet

I love creating with a flow. I so wanted to try my hands on the beautiful Book box. Everything was out on my craft table so I decided to create this book box with my leftover flowers.

All the supplies used are the same as in my first project except the blue cardstock which really made a difference to my entire project when coordinated with silver cardstock.

Here is the complete list of supplies used in the above projects. All the supplies used from Elizabeth Crafts Designs are linked directly for easy purchases.

For more details on the projects, I have created small videos. The link to the videos are given below.

Hope you liked my projects. I‘m always happy to hear from you. It is a joy to read your comments and I’m grateful to you all. Thank you for spending your precious time here. For more inspiration, you can follow me on FacebookInstagramYoutube, and, Pinterest.

Happy anniversary

June 21, 2023

Hi everyone, welcome at this new blogpost. Today I want to share a project I made with my mother Petra Geerdink. My grandparents are celebrating there 60st anniversary so that means there is a party. We made 15 bottles to decorate the tables.

First we made the hearts with the Heart Cutout dies, the large numbers and the black Silk Microfine Glitter. We use the base heart and adhere some glitter at the numbers. We made two hearts so we can but a black pin between the layers.

The next one is a Stitched Rounded Rectangle with a picture of my grandparents 25th anniversary. The paper we used is from the Bellrose Pink paperpad. This one is realy simple but for the picture this is great.

For the back we used pink paper from the Bellrose Pink Paperpad so we can but the black pin between it.

Than the last one for in the bottle is the banner with a beautiful flower made by my mother ofcourse. For the flower she used Florals 21 with Distress Ink ‘Worn Lipstick, Aged Mahongany, Forest Moss, Vintage Photo and Bundled Sage. You will probably think why did you use Vintage Photo. Well that is for some spots at the leaves.

In the center we put some small black beads. We also used the leaves add ons at this banner. The banner is from the Suitcase kit. As you can see at the left side we made a black piece which fits perfectly from top to the bottum. We also use this piece to adhere the pin at the banner.

At least we made a fishtail around the neck of the bottle. For this piece we used the fitted fishtail and 3 different sentiments. Because we made 15 bottles and we want 3 different sentiments. We used the sentiments ‘special memory’, ‘happy anniversary’ and ‘joyful moments’.

For the finish and touch we made a waxseal and used some twine to put everything together.

So I think I told everything about these bottles we made. It was a lot of fun to make!

Thankyou for visiting and see you next time!

Kind regards,

Lisanne Geerdink

Just A Note Card

June 16, 2023

Hi everyone, it’s Tina here. It’s been a while since I made some flowers and when I created my card I realized how much I missed making them. The Florals 23 was super easy to make and assemble. Below you will find the steps to create your own card.

Step 1 – Trim White Soft Finish to 4 1/2″ x 11″, score at 5 1/2″ and fold in half for a horizontal top fold card. (A2)

Step 2 – Apply various inks of color onto a Gel Plate. (I used yellow, orange and pink colors). Spread the inks using a brayer. Place Planner Stencil 3 on top of the inks and the place a White Soft Finish cardstock trimmed to 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″. Remove the cardstock and let it dry.

Step 3 – Diecut Fitted Indented Rectangle using the panel created from Step 2. Adhere to card front using Foam Tape.

Step 4 – Diecut Florals 23 using White Soft Finish. Color in using a Medium of your choice. I used inks with a Blending Brush. Assemble using Kids Choice Glue. Optional: Sprinkle a Metallic Paint to add some shimmer and shine. Adhere to card using Kids Choice Glue.

Step 5 – Stamp With Love Sentiment onto White Soft Finish Cardstock using Versafine Onyx Black Ink. Diecut Fitted Fishtails to the sentiment. Adhere to card front using Kids Choice Glue.

This card can be used for various occasions by changing the colors and/or sentiment. Below is a link to all the products used. Thank you for stopping by and Happy Crafting!

Floral slimline card

May 29, 2023

For this blog post I have used the latest collections from the Floral collection and from Esther, the Planner collection, even the sidekick, so I am very happy with that because I am making my annual overview this year in my sidekick planner and what a super fun addition.

For this card I started making the flowers, they are so beautiful!!!

To make the flowers I watched some videos from Karen and I once did a make & take with Anita, with all those tips and the right tools it is easy to do. So my advice is, watch some videos and take your time, it’s fun to make these beautiful flowers and making beautiful things just takes some time.

This flower was designed by Joseph Nguyen.

Once I was done with the flowers I wanted to make a slim line card with them.

I made the base from DCP paper, folded in half lengthwise 8.75″x 3.75″

The edges are inked with Distress oxide ink Frayed Burlap and they have been given a Walnut stain edge.

I did the same with the design paper from Esther’s new reminiscence book.

8.5″x3.5″

and with the second layer, also from book 6, which I cut with the slimline background 1 Die from Joset.

It is in the Christmas set but is also very useful for regular cards, really a beautiful background.

A piece is torn on the left and the edges of the 1st layer are distressed, then they are stitched together with my sewingmachine.

A piece of pink lace has been glued to the base card behind the torn part.

You can see it a little better in this photo.

Then I gave everything a place until I was satisfied and everything is glued.

Of course I also had to add a sentiment, for that I used the new stamp set from the Florals collection and a Die from the window overlay set P.E.36 (see photo 1)

I loved working on this card, something different than usual.

In the past I also often made “vintage” cards, so a bit back in time.

Hopefully you have gained some inspiration.

See you,

With love,

Marjolijn.

Special Memories

April 27, 2023

Karen here! I’m sharing a card and a Planner Essentials page using the fun Everyday Elements collection! The card will be used as part of a special gift for someone special, and the pages are for Sadie’s album. Sadie is my guy’s dog who has cancer, so I am creating a memory book for him to celebrate her.

First up is this fun card using the Layered Honeybee, Small Doily and and Lace Borders die sets along with a sentiment from the Happy stamps. I absolutely love that bee, and he comes with the fun honeycomb too. The Lace Border dies are long enough for a Planner Essentials page and also can be cut to use just a piece like I did under the sentiment.

The front side of Sadie’s page is inspired by a lay-out I saw Annette do in the ECD Planners group on Facebook. So much fun inspiration there! The page base is from the Planner Essentials 41 set. I also added a couple tickets from the Planner Essentials 56 set (that I stamped with a Let’s Stick Together stamp). I then embellished with a Lace Border and added a flower from the Playful Flowers set.

On the back, I kept the lay-out pretty simple to focus on the fun that Sadie was having running through the tall grass. I did add a Playful Flower and another one of the Lace Borders to the page. And, of course, no page is complete without some reinforcements. These are from the Reinforcement Variety Pack 3 and are stuck on the page with some 101mm Double Sided Adhesive!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Craftily yours, Karen

Sympathy Card

April 24, 2023

Hello crafty friends, it’s Summer Hills-Painter here. For today’s blog post, I am sharing a simple sympathy card I made for a friend.

Preparation:

Cut and assemble daffodils from the Daffodil die set. Cut a circle from the Stitched Circles die from light blue cardstock. Cut an A2 card base from green cardstock. Cut a rectangle from cream cardstock using the Stitched Rectangle die set. Cut a rectangle from patterned cardstock from the Fitted Rectangles die set. Cut a bow from the Easter Basket die set out of yellow cardstock. Cut the words “with sympathy” from Words 4-Remember die set out of black cardstock 3 times.

Instructions:
Adhere the three words “with” and “sympathy” together. Also assemble the bow from the Basket die set.

Arrange the die cut daffodils together into a bunch and adhere the bow created in the last step to the bunch.

Adhere the sentiment to the top of the patterned paper cut from the Fitted Rectangles die set. Adhere the bunch of daffodils to the bottom of the layer and cut off the excess

To finish off the card, attach the patterned cardstock layer to the Stitched Fitted Rectangle cardstock layer. Once completed, adhere those layers to the card base.

Smell the Flowers

April 20, 2023

Hi Everyone, It’s Els here and it is my turn again to give you some inspiration. I made this card with the Perfume Bottle so you can also use it for a Mother’s day card. Below you will find the step by step instructions. Have fun creating this one!

First I print the Image on the Soft finished cardstock, this is ideal to print on. Then cover the bottle with Glossy Accent so that it shines like glass. Let this dry. In the mean time you can die cut all the flowers and leaves you want and colour them.

Also stamp de bee 2x. From 1 bee, cut the wings and put glitter on it. Let this dry and once dry, colour the center black. The other bee you can colour him yellow and black, then glue the wings on top of the whole bee. Adhere your card on a mat of red cardstock and distress it.

When the Glossy accent is dry you can decorate the silverware on the bottle with silver glitter glue. When that is drying you can shape all the leaves and flowers and you can put stamens in the center of the flowers. Then place the whole card on a basic card of 5″ x 7″.

Now you can take your leaves and flowers and you can make a nice arrangement on your card. I also placed a seam binding bow on it and at last you can place the bee on top of the bottle and adhere the stamp. In de right corner I used a stencil.

Close up…………….

I hope you like the card and that you’ll giving it a try too!

Sweet Easter Card

March 30, 2023

Hello crafty friends, it’s Summer Hills-Painter here. Easter is coming up soon, so I wanted to share with you a cute Easter card for inspiration.

Preparation:

Cut and assemble the head of the bunny from the Bunny die set. Assemble the body but do not attach to the head. Cut leaf circles from the Planner Essentials Iris Shutter Add-on die set in two shades of green cardstock. Using the double leaf die set, cut darker green cardstock. Using the single leaf circle, cut a lighter green cardstock. Cut a circle from the Stitched Circles die from light blue cardstock. Cut a card base from one of the green cardstocks used for the leaves. Cut a circle from the Dotted Scalloped Circles die set. Cut a rectangle from white cardstock using the Stitched Rectangle die set. Cut a rectangle from patterned cardstock from the Fitted Rectangles die set. Cut flowers from the Easter Basket die set out of yellow cardstock and their centers from white cardstock. I used 2 of the three flowers in the set. I have cut them each 7 times. Cut the word Easter from the Planner Essentials 23 die set from the same green cardstock used for the base . Cut and stamp “Happy” on white cardstock using the Sentiments 1 stamp and die set. I like to use the negative from the die cut to create a template that I can use to place the sentiment to assist in lining up the stamp with the die cut. This step can save lots of time if making multiples.

Instructions:
Using a stylus or back of a paint brush, shape the flowers that was cut from yellow cardstock and adhere together. Adhere the white centers to the middle of the flowers.

Using the single leaf die, cut the body of the bunny. This will allow for the perfect edge to line the bunny up in the up coming steps

Adhere the light blue circle to the double leaf circles. The interior leave allow for the circle to be glued easily.

Adhere the single layer leaf die cut to the blue circle. Adhere the bunny body to the light blue cardstock, aligning the edge with the green leaf layer that we just glued down.

Adhere the bunny head to the body.

Adhere the Dotted Scallop circle towards the top of the patterned cardstock layer. At the bottom of the layer, adhere “Easter”

Adhere the leaf layer to the center of the scalloped circle. Also adhere the “happy” sentiment the card layer

To finish off the card, adhere the yellow flowers around the leaf circle. Attach the patterned cardstock layer to the Stitched Fitted Rectangle cardstock layer. Once completed, adhere those layers to the card base.

Stuff that matters

March 27, 2023

Hello everyone, Marjolijn here. For today’s blog post I made this box to store my tickets in. Just a cozy box on the table where I can grab a ticket if I need it. For the box I used the book box. Let me explain to you how I created this box.

I decorated this Book box with jute and incorporated an embroidery ring in which I incorporated a shaker. The sweet girl would also like to be a fairy but lacks the wings. That’s why she’s standing on a twig.

The box contains all sorts of treasures like tickets and other nice little things to process in my planners.

I made the shaker with the fuse from “we’r memerykeepers”. I cut 2 circles from a plastic cover with a round die slightly larger than the die from the craft lover set. I put the picture of the fairy in between and put some shaking material on it. Then I put the ring on it from the craftlover set and welded the circle closed with the fuse.

This way you can easily make a flat shaker without tape or foam and nothing will fall out. Doesn’t it look pretty?!

I hope my project today gave you some inspiration to make your own keep sake memory box using the beautiful Book box die from Elizabeth Craft Designs. I had so much fun creating mine and I love storing all sort of little things that I want keep in it.

Thank you for your visit!

With love,

Marjolijn.
