So Much Love

October 30, 2023

Karen here. There’s so much love in the air in my world. One of my kids is getting married in a couple weeks, and my husband’s son is also getting married. I created a card for each of the weddings, and I had a bridal shower for my future daughter-in-law as well. I used a combination of fun products from here at Elizabeth Craft Designs!

I made two of these cards, one for each wedding. The background paper is from the Rustic Winter Collection – so pretty! I created a Layered Bird from the Everyday Elements collection from Annette. So cute. He is layered on diecuts from the Postage Stamps set and the word “love” is from Everyday Words. The shape of the card was created by adding a punched corner rounder.

So sweet, I love the Butterflies collection from Joset. The butterfly is so easy to assemble when the paper is cut with 101mm Double Sided Adhesive on the back! The sentiment on this card is stamped from the Bugs & Kisses set. The cardstock is from a paperpack I had in my stash.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Craftily yours, Karen

Happy Halloween A2 Card

October 17, 2023

Hi everyone, it’s Tina here. With October here I have some inspiration for Halloween cards. Below you will find the steps to create your own card.

Step 1 – Trim White Soft Finish Cardstock to 4 1/4 x 11″, score at 5 1/2″ and fold in half for a horizontal top fold card. (A2)

Step 2 – Trim White Soft Finish Cardstock to 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″. Place Planner Stencils 4 (scattered stripes)on top and using a Blender Brush apply orange ink of your choice. Place Planner Stencils 4 (numbers) and using a Blender Brush apply black ink. (Optional – add some Black paint Splatters and let dry).

Step 3 – Diecut Fitted Rectangles to the panel created in Step 2. Adhere to card using Foam Tape.

Step 4 – Diecut Monster 3 using White Soft Finish Cardstock. Ink up the diecuts with the colors of your choice. Assemble and adhere to card front using Kids Choice Glue.

Step 5 – Stamp Everyday Elements All Occasion Sentiments using Versafine Onyx Black Ink.

The Monster 1, 2, and 3 dies are so much fun to create Halloween Cards or Tags. Below is the link for all the products used. Happy Crafting and thank you for stopping by.

Trip to France

July 31, 2023

Karen here. I was so fortunate to be on a once-in-a-lifetime trip with my parents to France in August 2022. I created a Sidekick Essentials page for each place/day we were there. Here are some of them.

I love this fun page using the Sidekick Essentials 17 as a page base. (I really love that I’m standing in front of a Van Gogh painting! WoW) I decorated the page with Fancy Flourishes and Vacay Phrases Stamps.

I used another diecut from the Fancy Flourishes set on the back along with Postage Stamp and Stitched Circle Dies. I tried Escargot on the trip, and one of the stamps from Moods was perfect in describing how much I liked them. LOL, they were okay.

Eek, I totally fan-girled over the Eiffel Tower. The page base is from Sidekick Essential 16. (I cut off the top of the seed packet…) I the picture on the seedpacket is actually on the tag that goes inside the pocket. The OMG diecut is from Planner Essentials 36.

Here’s the back of my pocket page. So many fun sights in Paris. The “where are we” is because my parents spent a lot of time mapping stuff out on their phones, and it made me giggle….and not be lost 🙂

A quick look at the fabulous pictures on the tag inside the pocket. It’s a great way to add great memories.

On our trip, we also went on a two-week Rick Steve Tour. Sarlat-le-Caneda was one of the amazing medieval towns where we stopped. This page base is from the Sidekick Essentials 12 set, and I used the flowers from the Layered Honeybee on this page. I also used the Lace Borders set.

And the back. Of course, all of these pages use fun and quirky reinforcements from one of the reinforcement variety packs. Thanks for stopping by.

Craftily yours, Karen

Hello little bird

July 3, 2023

Hello again, Jackie here with todays post. I have combined both Joset’s and Annette’s dies today into one very clean and simple card design which is quite quick to make and would be suitable for a number of occasions.

Step One:

Attach a panel of grey card trimmed at a slight angle to the very bottom of an A2 card blank.

Step Two:

Build the mug of tea as normal with the addition of a tea top. Die cut the very top of the mug into a piece of tea coloured card, fix this to the back of the mug slightly lower than the top then add a piece of white card behind to create the mug of tea effect.

Step Three:

Fix the mug to the card front. Build the bird in whatever colour combo you wish then fix to the top of the mug rim.

Step Four:

Finish off by adding a sentiment to suit your occasion.

I have chosen to create a blue tit of sorts from coloured cardstock but there are so many other possibilities to create different bird types both real and imaginary. I hope you have been inspired today with my very clean and simple design. Happy crafting – Jackie xx

This “Bee”! has a fancy folded card.

June 21, 2023

Hi everyone, Katie here with todays blog post. Today I wanted to feature a super cool fun folded card using Anette’s Greens Bee and flower die from her Everyday Elements. So grab a coffee and let me walk you through how to create this card.

Out of your favorite card stock cut out your Bee, and “Thanks” word. Ink your edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and assemble your Bee and word quote.

Out of the designer paper of your choice (I used Bee Happy by Echo Park) I cut out the green stem and flower heads, ink and assemble.

Using a heavy white card stock cut your base 5 1/2 x 8 1/4. Score along the 8 1/4 side @ 1″, 2″, 3″, 5 1/4″, 6 1/4″ and 7 1/4″ , next at the red lines cut as per above.

Next fold up your score lines, and pop out your folds as per picture below.

(Back part of the card)

(top view)

After you have your card folded, you will want to cut your front cover strips.

Cut-two black strips of card stock 1 x 4″ and two strips of designer paper @ 7/8″ x 3 7/8″ (Top and bottom)

Cut-two black strip 1 3/8″ x 4 and one strip of designer paper @ 1 1/4″ x 4 7/8″ (Middle piece)

Cut-two black strips the side of the card base 1 x 5 3/8″ and two strips of designer paper at 7/8″ x 5 1/4, ink and assemble as per picture above.

Next, using the Everyday Elements Postage Stamps, cut out a large postage die using black card stock and a yellow mat from the coordinating designer paper.

I attached my flower, and added some black colored sisal underneath the pop-dotted Bee. Add your word and speckle using heavy white acrylic paint.

Thank you for joining me with todays blog post, have a wonderful day!

France in a Sidekick

June 14, 2023

Karen here! I’m excited to be sharing with you a few Sidekick Essentials pages I made for a trip scrapbook. My parents and I had planned to spend about 3 weeks in France back in May 2020. Of course, that got delayed, but we finally did it in August/September 2022. I created two copies of each page, so I could give my mom and dad their own album. Each of these pages has a smidge of the Everyday Elements release from Annette. Fun!

First up is the cover. I kept this page pretty simple, but at it’s center is one of the flowers from the Playful Flowers set. So sweet. The page base is a Sidekick Essentials 4 with the “green” part cut from the Sidekick Pocket Page Fillers 1. The word “France” is cut with the Alphabet Tabs, and I used Planner Essentials 56 (tickets) to cut the month names, and the Ticket Stamps for the 2022.

One of our epic adventures was a trip to climb Pont du Gard. (Yes, I did it – it’s a HUGE beautiful bridge!) The page base here is a Sidekick Essentials 7. I used a Label Tab stamp at the top, and added some Lace Borders to this page. The “Epic” die is from Sidekick Essentials 8. The paper is from a combination of Books 2 and 5 Reminiscence.

And on the back of the page is more pictures from the Pont du Gard climb. Stunning view at the top.

Another page is from our day at Villandry. What an amazing experience to visit the homes of royalty from hundreds of years ago! Just beautiful. The page base here is a Sidekick Essentials 10. The “Love this View” is from a retired page.

More pictures on the back along with a couple flourishes from the Fancy Flourishes set. I added a stamp from Adventure Awaits. And finally, no page is complete without the amazing reinforcements from the Reinforcement Variety Packs!

Craftily yours, Karen

By the Sea is where I want to be!

May 24, 2023

Hi everyone, Katie here with todays blog post. I wanted to change it up a bit using Esther Glasses Sea Creatures and create this super cool Steam Punk Easel Card. So grab your favorite beverage and lets begin.

Step 1: Start with creating the portal of your submarine, I used an older paper line from Stamperia, it has pipes and gears that would make it look like the inside of a sub. I cut the paper 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and used the circle from the pocket page fillers 2 and cut the Centre of the paper. The backside of this paper has the pipes and gears and I flipped the circle. Before adhering the circle, I placed a piece of acetate in-between the layers. Next, I took the two circle from the Pocket Pages filler 2 and created the black ring from card stock. I added the black bolts from Planner Essentials 48 to the 4 corners of the card.

Step 2: Cut out your Octopus and diving helmet from Seas Creatures out of your favorited designer paper or card stock, as well as the coordinating grasses and Sea Horse (I did use the Summer Art Journal collection but just realized it was discontinued, Sorry) But there are other sea horses out there. Ink your pieces with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and assemble.

Step 3: Create the rest of your easel card by use heavy white cardstock120lbs and cut your card base, 5 1/2 x 11 and score along the 11″ side at 5 1/2 and 2 3/4 and fold up your score lines, cut an extra 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 base page and attach your card front. If you take a look at my other blog post “A Pop-Up Shaker Snowman Card” you can see how to assemble. (Its very easy)

Step 4: Cut out your Happy Birthday from coordinating cardstock and Sea Accessories, and adhere to your card.

Last step I always like to speckle with Heavy White Acrylic paint.

I hope todays blog post brought you some inspiration, as its just another way to use this awesome Sea Creatures Planner die set from Esther Glass! Have a wonderful day and happy crafting!

Save a smile for a rainy day

May 10, 2023

Hii everyone, it is time for a new blogpost from me. I made a tag with different collections. So a lot of play time over here. I made a tag during a Facebooklive at ECD. It looks a little bit the same but I used different products at this project.

First I a started with a nested tag with paper from Reminiscene the book 6. I stamped on the background with two different stamps sets with Versafine Clair Ink. Some prints I stamped directly at the tag but with some stamps I stamped first an another sheet. The stamp at the tag isn’t now that bright of colour.

The next step is making a cluster. I started with the structure dies from the Mannequins dies. I teared this is a smaller piece with not that straight edges. At the bottom I added an edge from the Everyday Elements collection.

I made the Honey Bear with kraft cardstock from Tim Holtz. I edited this paper with sanding disks so you can see the kraft through the upper layer. I like that style.

Back to the cluster I started. I cut three pieces from book 6 ( the circle, number strip and frame). I inked all the edges with Distress Ink Frayed Burlap. I adhere the bear at the number strip so he is sitting at it.

At least I added a text which I cut out of book 6. And I also adhere a reinforcement at the tag.

I hope you like this project and got some new ideas. It is a small project with not that much products but it gives you an idea of working with a cluster.

Thankyou for visiting and see you the next time!

Kind regards Lisanne Geerdink

Special Memories

April 27, 2023

Karen here! I’m sharing a card and a Planner Essentials page using the fun Everyday Elements collection! The card will be used as part of a special gift for someone special, and the pages are for Sadie’s album. Sadie is my guy’s dog who has cancer, so I am creating a memory book for him to celebrate her.

First up is this fun card using the Layered Honeybee, Small Doily and and Lace Borders die sets along with a sentiment from the Happy stamps. I absolutely love that bee, and he comes with the fun honeycomb too. The Lace Border dies are long enough for a Planner Essentials page and also can be cut to use just a piece like I did under the sentiment.

The front side of Sadie’s page is inspired by a lay-out I saw Annette do in the ECD Planners group on Facebook. So much fun inspiration there! The page base is from the Planner Essentials 41 set. I also added a couple tickets from the Planner Essentials 56 set (that I stamped with a Let’s Stick Together stamp). I then embellished with a Lace Border and added a flower from the Playful Flowers set.

On the back, I kept the lay-out pretty simple to focus on the fun that Sadie was having running through the tall grass. I did add a Playful Flower and another one of the Lace Borders to the page. And, of course, no page is complete without some reinforcements. These are from the Reinforcement Variety Pack 3 and are stuck on the page with some 101mm Double Sided Adhesive!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Craftily yours, Karen
