Hello everyone, it´s Sanna here. I really like using Silk Microfine Glitter on Christmas cards and I’d like to share a set with you today.
Here is one of the cards I created:
Here is how I created the cards:
Step 1: Cut two pieces of White Soft Finish Cardstock to fit a card front. Cover with Clear Double Sided Adhesive Sheet.
Step 2: Die cut with Kaleidoscope and Geometric Background dies, keeping the adhesive on the top (front).
Step 3: Remove the outline portion of the protective sheet and apply one tone of Silk Microfine Glitter. Polish the glitter into the surface with a fingertip to bring out the maximum sparkle.
Step 4: Now remove the protective sheet from the negative die cut parts and apply the second glitter colour. Polish as in Step 3.
Step 5: Stamp birds, bears, trees and stars from the Krista Schneider stamp set, colour with watercolour pencils and add glitter glue for detail. Let dry.
Step 6: Die cut the colored images with the matching die set.
Step 7: Create sentiment strips with stamping and heat embossing. Ink the paper strips to match the colours of the card backgrounds.
Step 8: Adhere all die cut pieces and the sentiment strip with Kids Choice Glue.
Use the leftover pieces create two more cards. Here they are:
You can find the full start-to-finish tutorial to the above cards, as well as the glitter background cards, in the following video:
I hope you enjoyed this month’s project! Hope to see you next month for my last tutorial in 2018.
Happy crafting,
Sanna
