Cardmaking

Glitter Octopus

February 12, 2020

Karen here today from Craftily Yours! I totally love Elizabeth Craft Designs Silk Microfine Glitter. When used with the Double Sided Adhesive, it adheres so well that it doesn’t come loose….and it’s SO pretty. Today, I paired with glitter with the New Octopus Die.

To create this card, I cut an 8-1/2″x11″ sheet of 90lb White Soft Finish cardstock in half and then scored and folded it. From the other half, I die cut the card front using the Stitched Indented Rectangles dies. I then used the Fitted Squares to die cut the openings. From the remaining piece of Soft Finish Cardstock, I created the blue background with Distress Oxide inks and added the card front with pop-tape.

I took another piece of Soft Finish Cardstock and cut out 1/4 of it and added 101mm Double Sided Adhesive. Then, I die cut the Octopus Die (the wheel is also in the Octopus die set). I peeled back the tape backing and added Orange Silk Microfine Glitter to the Octopus and Light Brown to the wheel. So FuN and shiny!

Oh! And how fun are the matching sentiments to the nautical collection – the stamp set is called Splish Splash!

Thank you for stopping by!

Craftily yours, Karen
