Happy Halloween Card

September 2, 2019

Hey Crafters! Katelyn here, sharing with you my Happy Halloween Card which features a variety of the new Halloween dies from Joset Designs! I hope you enjoy my tutorial!

Step One. You’ll need two patterned papers from the An Eerie Tale patterned paper. Die cut the 4 3/4″ Stitched Rounded Square out of one of the patterned papers. Die cut the 5 1/4″ Stitched Rounded Square out of the other patterned paper. Distress the edges of the squares. Ink the edges of the squares using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Two. Die cut the Happy Halloween from the Words 3 – Happy Holiday die out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Carved Pumpkin Distress Ink over the entire surface of each word.

Step Three. From the Spider Web die, die cut the spider web out of Black Soft Finish Cardstock. Cut the spider web in half.

Step Four. From the Halloween Accessories die, die cut two bats out of Black Soft Finish Cardstock.

Step Five. Die cut the Haunted House and Cat from the Haunted House Set out of Black Soft Finish Cardstock.

Step Six. Die cut the Iron Fence out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Hickory Smoke and Black Soot Distress Ink over the entire surface of the iron fence.

Step Seven. Die cut the medium sized pumpkin and stem from the Pumpkins die out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Carved Pumpkin Distress Ink over the entire surface of the pumpkin. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Peeled Paint Distress Ink over the entire surface of the stem.

Step Eight. From the Scarecrow die, die cut the small pumpkin and the stem. Die cut the two of each of the vines as well as two of each of the leaves from the Pumpkin die out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Carved Pumpkin Distress Ink over the entire surface of the pumpkin. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Peeled Paint Distress Ink over the entire surface of the stem, all four leaves and all four vines.

Step Nine. Adhere one half of the spider web to the bottom right portion of the 5 1/4″ patterned paper square. Adhere the other half of the spider web to the top portion of the 5 1/4″ patterned paper square. Adhere the 4 3/4″ square to the 5 1/4″ square.

Step Ten. Adhere the Iron Fence to the bottom portion of the 4 3/4″ square. Use foam squares to adhere the haunted house to the left hand side of the 4 3/4″ square. Use foam squares the adhere the two bats to the right of the haunted house.

Step Eleven. Adhere the stems to each pumpkin. Use foam squares to adhere the larger pumpkin 1/2″ from the bottom and 1 7/8″ from the left of the 4 3/4″ square. Adhere the other pumpkin 1/8″ from the bottom and 1 5/8″ from the left of the 5 1/4″ square. Adhere the leaves and vines as desired around the pumpkins.

Step Twelve. Adhere the Happy Halloween sentiment to the top right corner of the 4 3/4″ square.
