Planner Essentials

My Boy is 27!

May 13, 2020

Karen here today from Craftily Yours! I cannot believe that my oldest son just celebrated his 27th birthday. Since we are all in quarantine, I only got a picture of him when he was taking a break from doing yardwork for me. This special-day moment is still perfect for my planner. So grown up, so handsome. I am very proud of him.

I am making double-sided pages now, and started on the back-side of my Mother’s Day Planner Page that was on the blog earlier this week. The page base is cut with Planner Essentials 27 and 90lb White Soft Finish Cardstock.

I pulled out some old Basic Grey paper I had and cut a tag using Planner Essentials 26. I love the various tag toppers in this set, like this one. With numbers at the top, it’s perfect for a birthday page!

The tag topper was die cut with 101mm Double Sided Adhesive. It makes it so easy to stick to the page. I like to add a reinforcement and some ribbon to the tag and to keep it thinner, I staple it in place. I added three little flags to the side of the tags. The tags can be found in Planner Essentials 27.

The fun number dies that make the “27” on my page are also in the Planner Essentials 27 set. And of course, no planner page is done until it has some fun reinforcements. The stars are in the Planner Essentials 14 set, and the smaller circles are part of the Reinforcement Variety Pack. Of course, I used ECD’s double sided adhesive before cutting the reinforcements out as well!

I dressed up the page with some washi tape (on the edge), some star and arrow tape from TH and some chipboard. The letters in his name are also from TH. Because of all of the amazing inspiration I found in the Facebook ECD Planners & Journaling page, I purchased that fun date-stamp. If you haven’t joined already, you should! Love it.

Thank you for stopping by.

Craftily yours, Karen
