Plant Love in Susan’s Garden

December 1, 2017

Hello to all,

This is Anita here. How was your Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday Shopping? I am sure you all must have shopped to your heart’s content at the ECD store as there was a fabulous scheme going on.

Today let us celebrate the coming days even more by planting smiles and love with a card made with Susan’s Garden dies and a wonderful sentiment from her stamp collection along with other dies from the ECD line. I chose Love in a Mist, a beautiful flower that I learned to make by watching Susan Tierney-Cockburn’s Facebook video tutorial, and I encourage you to watch it so your flowers will be realistic and lovely, just like hers!

Instead of instructions, I’m going to let the photos do the talking. As you can see, the background is a combination of layered die cut Fishtail shapes and Entwined Ovals. The cluster of flowers includes Berry Branches and Maidenhair Ferns. ModaScrap papers provide the soft butterflies, polka dots and other patterns.

I chose Distress Inks to color the flowers and leaves and added berries with dots of dimensional paint, but you could use PanPastels, pencils or markers for coloring and substitute Glitter Dots peel-offs for the berries.
