A Pop-up Basket of Flowers

January 21, 2018

Hello everyone!! I’m Luciana, or LucyWonderland if you prefer ^-^
[English isn’t my first language so please forgive me every eventual mistake ^-^ ]

I’m really exited to be part of this team, and for my first post I would like to create something that pops up, just because I love things that pop up!I like playing with pages and cards, that pull, push, turn and fold, open and discover…and so on!

So I  like creating a card with flowers that simply come out from the base. The Gathering Basket from the Garden Notes collection offered me the right soluction.

Step 1.
Cut a card from a sheet of Soft Finish Cardstock 8.5″ X 11″. Follow the measures showed in the picture below. the continue red lines are to cut, the blue dotted one are to fold.

To decorate the card, I also cut a pattered paper from the ModaScrap Wood Effect Patterned Paper Pack, that I glued on the front of my card

Step 2

Glue down the cardstock stripe to the central piece on the card, from the internal side of the card

in this way, when you pull the string, the central cut cardstock panel curves out.

Step 3

Cut out two pieces of  Gathering Basket, and glue the 3 sides, like to create a little pocket.

Step 4

Glue the basket on the central part of the card.

Step 5

  • Garden Notes – Lilac 2
  • Garden Notes – Pansy 2
  • Garden Notes – Cornflower Bachelor Button
  • Garden Notes – Primrose 1
  • Garden Notes – Dogwood 2
