Santa and His Sleigh!

October 3, 2018

Good morning!

I am excited to share this card with you today!

To create this card:

step 1 – Create a 5 x 6 top-fold landscape card base from 85lb White Soft Finish Cardstock.

step 2 – Die cut the Garden Notes Frame It Stitched Oval in the center of the card front to create a window.

step 3 – Cut a piece of patterned paper at 4 3/4 x 6 3/4 and use the next larger Frame It Stitched Oval to cut an oval opening.

step 4 – Using Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape adhere a piece of ribbon to the side of the patterned paper as shown in the photo. Fold cut ends to the back.

step 5 – Adhere the patterned paper to the card front.

step 6 – Cut another piece of coordinating paper at 4 3/4 x 6 3/4 and adhere to the inside of the card so it is visible through the oval window.

step 7 – Die cut all pieces for the Santa from solid color cardstock.  To create fluffy fur and his beard, cut those pieces from white cardstock that has Clear Double Sided Adhesive on the front prior to cutting. Remove the protective sheet to expose the adhesive and cover with sparkly fluff. Assemble and adhere Santa and adhere to the card front, taking care to use glue only where Santa overlaps the frame.

Step 8 – Die cut Santa’s sleigh 3 times using cardstock in gold, red, and wood grain (ModaScrap). Trim pieces; assemble and adhere to inside of the card, placing it in the window as shown and using foam tape to add dimension.

Step 9 – Die cut ‘Merry Christmas’ from coordinating cardstock and adhere above sleigh.

This is a very cute card. You mention putting ‘sparkly fluff’ on the fur parts of Santa. What is it? Thanks so much!

Thanks Gigi! Sparkly fluff is an older product that has glitter and bit of fluff like fuzz in it – I actually found it in a box that was under the cabinet where I store my stuff

Very cute card but what is ‘sparkly fluff’?
