Hi there! It’s Suzanne here today with a phrase that could easily have been said by my mother! Sage advice.
This card with its words of encouragement is just plain fun to make! You’ll enjoy experimenting with the technique. I was after a dark milky way look, but you could have a bright sky look instead. Just play!
Here is how you can make it!
Form a tent-fold card base measuring 7 x 5.5” from Bonny Blue Soft Finish Cardstock.
Die cut Flourished Moon from gold cardstock.
Cut a piece of Specialty Stamping Paper to approximately 5.5 x 5” and sponge over the whole surface with Chipped Sapphire. Spritz lightly with water. Gently wipe the area where you wish to place the stamp. Dry with a heat tool.
Now have some fun! Sponge Picked Raspberry around the edges, spritz and allow to dry. Repeat with the other colours, using Black Soot last. Make sure you dry between each layer.
Stamp the sentiment using VersaMagic ink and attach the Flourished Moon as shown using a stamping platform so you can do multiple light impressions. Trim this panel to approximately 5.5 x 4”.
Cut a mat from gold cardstock and attach to the decorated panel. Mat these two panels with black cardstock and mount on the card front.
And that’s it! I hope this inspired you to ‘shoot for the moon’ and create your won version of this card! Until next time!
