Hi everyone!
Welcome to our first Susan’s Garden Design Team Designer Challenge. Some of you asked for this challenge earlier in the year and we are so happy to finally be able to include it.
Susan Tierney-Cockburn designs flower dies that are realistic, just like those we find in nature, and they are scaled so they can be used together in bouquets. For our first challenge let’s celebrate with flowers! Create a card/project anything you want as long as it includes one or more of Susan’s Garden flowers.
For our Challenge today we are giving away a Susan’s Garden Prize Pack which includes: Garden Notes Square Window & Flower Box, Sunflower 2 and an All Metal Tool Kit to 3 winners.
To enter, simply leave a comment on this blog post below and answer this question: What is your favorite flower from the Garden Notes collection?
We will select 3 lucky winners in a random drawing.
The winners will be announced on Friday, July 14th, here on the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog.
Now let’s take a look at the wonderful creations our talented Design Team have created for the Challenge this month. For more information about the cards, click on the designer’s name under each card to be taken to the designer’s blog post and open the project in a new window.

I would love to use the sunflower die! Thanks for the opportunity.
The dahlia is my favorite but I love them all!
How can I choose! They are all so beautiful. I started with the lily. Then thought about the peony. The Dahlia is beautiful. But I guess my homey feeling picked the sunflower as my fav. I really wish I could choose all of them but my neighbor plants sunflowers outside of my Kitchen window, so I watch the baby birds, bees, and butterflies on the sunflowers. Thanks for the chance to win! Love this!
My favorite was Tuberous Begonia … Love the shape and colours.. simple and lovely..
My very most favorite flower from Susan’s Garden is Cherry Blossom with a close second being Susan’s Garden – Dogwood. Both are lovely flowers and fun to put together.
They’re all lovely but I think I have to choose the yellow day lily! Gorgeous! The cards are just beautiful.
Really…how do you pick just one to love? They are all just beautiful and so well proportioned for display on a card! I think I would have to pick the peony, it is a flower that does not grow in the South.
The marigold is my favorite. But I love all of them.
Wow I am in love with these flower dies I believe my favorite is the dahlia but they are all just beautiful.
All so pretty. I think I like the rose the best.
I really love working with the dimensional flower does. It is difficult to choose between them. I am particularly drawn to the sunflower and the dahlia.
All the cards are gorgeous! I just watched a video that Susan did on her Garden Notes Dahlia, she has a touching story, and I would love to try making it.
Do I have to pick only one? They’re all gorgeous! Guess it would be roses, lilies and sunflowers.
My Favorite is the dahlia. Such a dramatic card can be made with this.
My favourite is definitely the tulip.
All of these cards are very nice. My favorite set of Susan’s flowers is the marigold, with the runner up being the sunflower. I love doing 3D flowers, add color, veining, some fuzzy glitter in center, some shaping of the petals and you can have a real looking flower. All made with TLC!
Oh, I just love how real the lily looks! It is a “must have” for sure!
These cards are beautiful. I like the peonie. But to be honest I really like the whole lot. All flowers are beautiful. Lovely designs

I have several dies by Susan and enjoy using them all. Of the cards you displayed I think the dahlia is gorgeous. I enjoy mostly the violets and the Zinnias.I love the fact that the flower petals are connected in the dies and it is easy to assemble. Thank you Susan for such beautiful flowers. To be able to look at Gods beautiful creations and make such realistic dies for us to play with. You always challenge me and make me salivate over your newest designs.
All are simple beautiful! Best is the peonies.
I love the sunflowers, which I have from Susan’s previous company, but these from ECD are on my wish list! My othe favorite are the roses which I’ve used to decorate a “competitors” box!
All of the flowers look so realistic, they’re amazing! Beautiful creations by everyone!
These samples are drop-dead beautiful! I think the sunflower is one of my favorite Susan Tierney-Cockburn dies, although all of them are exquisite. Thanks for hosting the blog!
Wow, all the projects are truly beautiful. Picking a favorite is really tough. I’m going to say the “Sunflower” and “Dahlia” 2nd. I’ve really have enjoyed making Susan’s beautiful flowers.
I absolutely love all the samples. I have to say the daisy is my favorite. I have made several cards using the daisy 1. They are so realistic and being low profile mailable…a real plus,
ECD is my Go-To die for card making.
I love these dies from Susan’s Garden. My favorite one so far that I own is Rose 3 (but I do wish there was a video to see how to use all the pieces properly). Out of these samples today, my favorite is the dahlia (one on my wish list).
The lilies just finished blooming in our yard….so the lilies 2 reminds me of that…so for now that will be my favorite flower. Flowers are too hard to pick a favorite…I think that is why I have bought sooooo many flower dies…. and ……I love seeing all the card making ideas for flowers.
I am new to your site. Have been doing hydrangea since purchasing mine. Love all the things you do with these flowers. I like the sunflower the best. Keep up the good work
My favorite flower from the Garden Notes collection is the pansy. They bring back fond memories of the wild ones tat grew in my Grandmother’s back yard!
I love the elegance and simplicity of the single white Dalhia. It was a difficult decision as all the flowers and cards are outstanding!
Oh, these are all so beautiful. I find it very hard to choose which flower I love best from Susan’s garden but if you make me choose I guess I’ll go with the hydrangea.
All of the samples are absolutely beautiful.
Susan’s dies are so realistic and being low profile easy to mail. I love working with her collection creating beautiful 3 dimensional cards.
I especially LOVE the daisy card and have made several using the Daisy 1 die.
ECD have become my favorite Go-To Dies.
The sunflowers 2 are my favorite. My mom grew sunflowers when I was young. They remind me of her. Love the perils.
My favorite flower has to be the hydrangea. Being brought up in New York over 50 years ago, I remember the beautiful hydrangeas in my grandmother’s garden. We would go to her house while waiting for the bus and she would cut a bouquet for our teacher. Needless to say , our teachers loved us, I alter the different color paper with distress crayons so that when the flowers are die cut they area different shades. Beautiful and so realistic.
All of those flowers are such beautiful creations! I don’t think I could begin to make them look like that. If I did I don’t think I could bring myself to give them away. AWESOME JOB!
The peony flowers are my favorite from this collection. Thanks for sharing these beautiful peojects!
i love all the flowers.
but the sunflower the most.
I’d have to say my favorites are a toss up between the sunflower 2 (you can make so many flowers from it) and the tuberous begonia (they’re just so cool). I know you’re only supposed to have one favorite, but it took me too long to just narrow it down to those two, I had to list them both.
I just had a wonderful thought, upon making my hydrangeas on a piece of paper before I transfer to my card. I add a tiny bit of perfume to the flowers. Does not have to be a lot. Just a tiny bit. Like the gorgeous roses!
Every one of the flowers are beautiful and unique so it’s hard to pick a favorite. My father grew beautiful roses and dahlias so I would have to go with one of those. Thank you for the chance to win.
The Tuberous Begonia is exquisite. If you must choose a favorite this is it.
All were beautiful!
The Tuberous Begonia is absolutely exquisite? Will have to purchase soon.
Tuberous Begonia……I would also like to see an Iris …
My favorite flower in Susan’s Garden collection are the Roses. Then again roses are just my favorite flower of all. They are beautiful and the fragrance is amazing. Susan’s roses look so authentic and real. All of her flowers are amazing. Nothing like a garden of flowers to brighten your day.
I love the Alstroemeria. They look so dainty and exotic!
Although my favorite flower is the sunflower, I like Susan’s marigold because I can very the shades of the coloring. It makes them really pop!
I forgot to say I love the Poney card. They are my favorite flowers. Of course I love the other cards too, also beautiful.
Love elizabeth craft products. These cards are awesome.
OMG! They are all so beautiful that it is hard to pick one over the others! So, I am just randomly picking because, honestly, I love all of them! The Garden Notes Lily gets to be my choice! Thanks, ladies for inspiring us all! ??????

I love the Alstroemeria best, but I like all of your dies they cut so evenly and Are fun to use
My fav is the “sunflower”. It is easy and pieces together nicely. Love all the cards. Very creative.
They are all gorgeous, but I love that peony and would enjoy giving it a try!

How cruel to ONLY pick one!!!
Oh the horror!! 😉 well I got a lot of Susan’s
Garden dies: pansy, peony, iris, poppy &
more but I must admit the magnolia is
Glorious!!!
Smooches Vee
I love the Dahlia! It is so beautiful. I would love to win this collection. Good luck everyone:)
I am torn between the day lily and the lily, because I love those flowers! I would probably go with the day lily if I had to pick just one, because I know there are so many colors in nature that you could make a different one every day for a week or longer….
I love the lily2 there are so many ways to use it. if you wet it and pinch the ends it gives it a whole different look. the Jasmine is a great one as well, lets face it I love them all and use them over and over
Love Eliizabeth Craft Designs – can’t wait to see them at the Scrapbook Expo in Edison, NJ in August! Love the sunflowers!
Love the decorated bottle. Just gorgeous.
I Love Elizabeth Craft products! The card’s are beautiful!
I love these beautiful flowers and cards. They take me to my happy place! There are so many beautiful flowers, but I always come back to the classic rose. I think the rose has to be my favorite.
What a hard question. There are five flowers that call my name, Jasmine, (in nature I love them for their scent), Magnolia, Peony, Gerbera (they always make me happy ) and the Dogwood ( my province’s official flower) . If I was pushed to name only one, it would be the Peony in real life but the Gerbera in my paper crafting. You can make the Gerbera in so many different colours and they are just fun to make.
The lotus is beautiful!
I love the one with the butterflies. I must try it out now! Love it!
The sunflowers caught my eye immediately …. unbelievably realistic! Love them all!
PEONIES!!! Love the background of cut up pieces and reassembled.
Can we only pick one? I love the lilies and the sunflower.
I LOVE all of the flowers but the Dog Wood is my favorite. I love that flower!
Love the lilies! Great design! Open for many colors.
I love them all but really love the Begonia,
Oh, so pretty. I love lilies and Dahlias, but I also love most flowers. My granddaughter’s name is Dahlia.
Absolutely gorgeous! All of it! My favorite are the day lilies. I have some in my yard and they make me smile when they are in bloom.
I love the dahlia best, but they’re all amazing!
I love all the flowers but my favorite is the dahlia. It ‘s beautiful and realistic.l’m making a clock made with flowers surrounded by flowers.
I love them all. They make beautiful cards. Has anyone tried making a swag with these lovelies?
The flowers are so realistic!
All of these show the talent and Time these artists are willing to put into their creations. They spend hours, often to give the finished piece to someone else.WOW!!! Personally I love the sunflower die but I think I have used the pointsetta design the most. I’ll just have to keep on cutting and playing with paper forever and use all of the flowers.
Love all the flowers but my favorite has been and always will be the sunflower.
I love, love, love the large hydrangea!!!!! I di cut the petals in white and use chalk ink to add color. I use light pink and dark pink to make pink hydrangeas and violet and blue to make the blue hydrangeas. They are so realistic looking! Your designs are the BEST!!!!
These are all so incredibly beautiful. The bottle art with the begonia… wow!
I love all her flowers but I especially love the tuberous begonia as it was one of my Mom’s favorite flower. She passed away this past December and those flowers remind me of her, she had such a green thumb in the garden. I love all of your products and the beautiful stamps and dies. I am looking forward to seeing you in Kansas City, MO in a few weeks! Safe travels
My absolute favorite is the Garden Notes Peony 2. Gorgeous.
Love the beautiful flowers. My favorite is the daisy. I’m with Rhea; it’s gotta be someone really special to put in the time to make the flowers correctly.
I like them all!! However it I must choose 1 – I would say the grapevine wreath and lily 2 would be my favorite. I love to put bunches of flowers on my Mother’s Day cards that I make for my 5 sisters every year. Our Mom who has passed, loved flowers, especially roses and her maiden name was Rosa. So as a tribute to our Mom I always put flowers on the Mothers Day cards I make for them. Thank you for the opportunity to win.
I love, love, love the large hydrangea!!!!! I di cut the petals white and them use chalk ink to combine violet and blue. I also use light pink and dark pink. These make realistic, beautiful flowers.
Wow, all of them are great but my favorite is the Garden Notes – Alstroemeria.
When asked the question: What is my favorite flower from the Garden Notes collection? It is very hard to determine. I love the Garden Notes Day Lily and the Dahlia. They are all beautiful! Thanks for sharing.
I love your flowers. But my favorite is the Dahlia. Its gorgeous!
I absolutely love the sunflower, although they are all lovely!
Love all these cards. It was hard to pick a favourite. My favourite background is the one created by pavitra chanchal and I love the lillies and the alstroemerias — both are coloured so lovely that they look real. This was really hard to choose though.
I must admit that I do make flowers like these on occasion but only do this for people I know will appreciate the cards A LOT . Not sure if it is because I don’t do flowers much but they take me a long long time to make. 🙂
They BEAUTIFUL!!!! My favorite is the Dahlia. My Mother loved Spider mums and that’s the closest to it. It reminds me of her and how much I miss her.
I love the sunflower. They just make me happy.
What gorgeous creations using these beautiful flower dies! Susan’s Garden Notes Sunflower 2 is my favorite! All the flowers are so realistic! Fabulous prize package with the fun Square Window & Flower Box die set too! Thank you for the chance to win!
I love the Dahlias! But I have to say, I also love the daisies & the lilies.
My favorite flower from Susan’s collection is the sunflower. I have a few of Susan’s dies and they create the most realistic looking, beautiful, and easy to make flowers.
All of the flowers are beautiful but I think my favorite is the Peony, it is so realistic.
I love all of your flowers but, My favorite is the Tuberous Begonia. So pretty.
All such pretty cards! Great inspiration. I have many of these flowers in my garden. So nice to see them as art work. So hard to select one. ? one of my favorites would be the alstromeria!

What amazing beautiful cards!!! The flowers are just perfect on all the cards you would almost think they came shaped and just ready to glue down. I really pick a favorite because I really like each one!!! Thanks for sharing your talents.
Gorgeous cards. I love all the flowers and own several. The Dahlia is on my “wish list”.
The Dahlia is one of my favorite flowers. I can’t believe how realistic Susan’s look! Today’s blog is truly an inspiration.

Peony? Sunflower? Begonia? I love them all, but if I have to choose just one, it is the Dahlia. Please don’t make me choose, though. It’s like asking which of my dogs is my favorite. I love them all for different reasons.
My favorite flower from the collection is the Alstroemeria, but all these cards are beautiful!
I am absolutely fascinated by the tiny but realistic flowers that your dies produce the alstomeria is my favorite, although I love them all and am slowly collecting all of them. Your word dies are the best, too.
All are fabulous but do love the Alstroemerias.
Loving all the cards – especially the peony!
I love all of the flower collections Susan has done over the years. I own many and use them frequently. My favourite Garden Notes is Alstroemeria. They’re very beautiful, delicate , feminine and pack a bunch. Delightful too !

My favorite is the poinsettia and also the lilies.
Beautiful cards! I like all of Susan’s flowers but my two favorites are Poinsettia and Lilies!
My favorite is the day lilies in the teacup. My favorite color is yellow and I always drink my tea. It is just a perfect combination for me.
All the cards are beautiful. I especially like the sunflower card. It reminds me of all the sunflowers I saw on a trip to Switzerland.
My favorite flower is the dahlia.
All the ladies on the design team did an exceptional job. If I had to pick a favorite it would be the Alstroemeria that Anita Kejriwal used in her card. Her flowers look so delicate and realistic and I love the deconstructed look of the card and how the individual elements just work. The drops were such a nice touch. I am a real fan of the Garden notes collection. The first time I saw a card made with the flowers I was blown away. The dies allow even the most novice crafter to make realistic flowers using Susan Tierney-Cockburn’s method to shape and color them.
All the cards are beautiful. My favorite is the Begonias on the bottle, they are so pretty. Also, the lilies are so realistic I wish I could make mine look that amazing!!
So far my favorite to make is the Jasmine, but I love all of them and look forward to getting more .
I love them all but the roses are my favorite! Such beautiful cards!
All such lovely cards. It’s hard to choose a favorite but I believe it is the Peony.
WOW! What beautiful examples from the team! So inspiring! I would say the Lilies are my favorite! So realistic!
