Sending You A Bear Hug Birthday Card

February 7, 2023

Hi everyone, it’s Tina here. Today I have a sweet Birthday wish card and a bonus card to share with you. Below are the steps to create your own cards.

Step 1 – Trim White Soft Finish to 4 1/4″ x 11″, score at 5 1/2″ and fold in half for a horizontal top fold card. (A2)

Step 2 – Diecut Bridge & Lotus (pond) using a scrap piece of cardstock to use as a stencil. Place the stencil created and place it on the card front. Use a Blender Brush to apply mid Blue Ink. (Optional – if you have the Planners Stencils 1 place the one that looks like waves and ink it with the remaining ink on the brush.)

Step 3 – Diecut Bridge & Lotus (bridge and lotus) in various colors of cardstock. Assemble and adhere to card using Kid’s Choice Glue.

Step 4 – Diecut Panda using Black and White Cardstock. Assemble using Kid’s Choice Glue and adhere to card using Foam Tape.

Step 5 – Diecut Party Time (Balloon) using coloured Cardstock of your choice. Adhere to card front using Foam Tape.

Step 6 – Stamp Life Is Better On The Farm & Bear Hugs Sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black Ink to the card front.

Adhere to card using Foam Tape.

Beautiful Blooms- Forever

August 26, 2021

Hi Friends! It’s EK, and today I am back with a hand colored card featuring the one of the new Beautiful Blooms stamp sets from Sonia and Diane. I am just loving this stunning design with it’s loose sketchy lines and realistic look.

Step One: Using an alcohol marker friendly ink, stamp the large bird and sentiment onto a trimmed piece of 90lb Soft Finish Cardstock.

Step Two: Color the image with an alcohol marker. I used copics. Around the edges of the cardstock, blend a dark blue water soluble ink. I used Distress Oxide Chipped Sapphire. Splatter the edges with clean water to create droplets.

Step Three: Die cut the image with the Stitched Rounded Rectangle die set.

Step Four: Using 10mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive, adhere the focal image onto a piece of dark blue cardstock. Adhere both of these pieces to an A2 card frame.

Step Five: Add a couple of dollops of Craft Drops in Clear Transparent around the sentiment.

If you love to color, you have to check out this new line from ECD. The Beautiful Blooms line is a colorist’s dream with large images that are just meant to be colored. How would you color this bird? Let us know in the comments below. Until then, happy crafting.
